Cherry sat frozen in her seat, blinking several times. Her brain seemed to shut down for a moment as she stared blankly at Lionel.
A few seconds later, she shot up from her seat and rushed out of the room without a moment's hesitation. She had to report it to Hannah immediately.
Even though she wasn't sure if what Lionel said was true or not.
She hurried out of the room, took the elevator down to the underground parking garage, and got into her car. Only after making sure no one was around did she take out her phone to call Hannah.
She was a double agent, after all, and she had to be careful.
What if Lionel suspected her and had someone following her? If she got caught, she'd be finished, and she'd lose one of her sources of leverage.
After hearing what Cherry had to say, Hannah's head was spinning.
Even Samuel was stunned.
"Are you kidding me? Is he insane?" Samuel couldn't help but curse. "He already ruined things once, and now he does this again? Why does he make trouble for everyone else?"
Hannah let out a long, pained sigh. "I swear, this lunatic is going to be the death of me!"
It was bad enough that he hadn't followed her plan and gotten some useful information, but she never imagined Lionel could do something even more idiotic.
"Hannah, Quennel is not like Lionel. Maybe Quennel will manage to get some information out of them before he gets rid of them?"
Samuel looked at Hannah hopefully. After all, if Quennel could get some useful information, it would still be a good thing for them.
Their ultimate goal was to find out anything they could about Cheryl.
"It would be great if he could get some information, of course," Hannah sighed.
