My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 298

At the sound of Hannah’s voice, Lionel shot to his feet and strode toward the door.

Grandma watched her grandson’s abrupt reaction, a knowing smile spreading across her face. “Look at him, Cindy,” she said to her longtime companion. “So excited to see his wife.”

Cindy smiled warmly. “It shows that your advice is working, ma’am. The young master and missus are growing closer.”

Grandma nodded, pleased, her gaze following them outside.

Hannah saw Lionel approaching and immediately looked away, her irritation palpable. He was a man who couldn't keep his word.

He grabbed her by the wrist, stopping her from going any further.

“Let go of me!”

“Hannah, I know you’re still angry,” he said in a low voice, “but Grandma is sick. Whatever you have to say to me, don’t say it in front of her. We can’t upset her.”

She struggled against his grip, but he was too strong. “Lionel, let go!” she hissed, glaring at him. “I’m not an idiot! Let go!”

He hesitated for a moment, his brow furrowed, but his grip remained firm.

“What more do you want?” she snapped, her anger rising. “Don’t think for a second that I won’t make a scene just because we’re at your grandmother’s house!”
