My Blind Husband novel Chapter 740

"Perhaps he'll awaken in high spirits once the situation with the Mortis sisters is settled. Who can say for sure?" Lucy's words finally soothed Cherise's heart a little.

Cherise took a deep breath and turned to look outside the ward, "Where is Damien?"

"Your children are still oblivious to the circumstances here. Damien wished to keep them in the dark, so he lied and said you were staying at my place. He's probably having breakfast with them right now."

Cherise nodded. Her two children shared a profound bond with Zachary. If they learned of Zachary's condition, they would fuss and insist on visiting him...

Damien had made the right call. It was best to keep them in the dark for the time being. Perhaps Zachary might regain consciousness before they discovered the truth.

She subconsciously glanced at the hospital bracelet on her wrist as she thought about it. "Are we at... Adania Hospital?"

"Yes." Lucy furrowed her brows, "Is something wrong?"

"Help me get out of bed to freshen up."

Rowena was also admitted to Adania Hospital if Cherise's memory served her right.

With Damien's strong sense of responsibility, he felt obligated to Rowena. He thought that Rowena's feet were burned because of him, so he arranged a luxurious private room for her on the top floor of Adania Hospital. The amenities inside were comparable to a five-star presidential suite.

Since Cherise and Rowena were in the same hospital, Cherise couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit Rowena.

Rowena wrinkled her brows and feigned surprise. "What happened to Lula?"

"Ms. Rowena, you can drop the act when it's just us." Cherise was amused as she watched Rowena put on an act. "Must I inform you about Ursula's predicament? I believe you're already well aware, right?"

Rowena frowned. Upon seeing that Cherise was done beating around the bush, she dropped the act and shrugged. "I'm genuinely saddened by Lula's actions," Rowena said scornfully, "But I'm just her sister. If she harbors ill intentions, she deserves to be punished. All I can do is pray for her early release."

With these words, she completely absolved herself of any responsibility.

Cherise sneered, "Ms. Rowena, you're quite cunning."
