"Yvette, see, I've told you that Chuck would come and look for me. Now, do you believe me?"
Adriana was boasting.
Yvette fell silent and she lowered her head.
"Guess why Chuck came over to look for me? Can you guess why?" Adriana smirked slightly.
Yvette shook her head. "I don't know."
She didn't know.
"You don't want to know, do you? Chuck thinks that you are dead or he might think that you died at the hands of Sabina. Thus, he needs someone to comfort him and he needs to avenge you. So he came looking for me. Do you understand now?"
Yvette shook her head.
"Look after her and don't let her die. I want her to see my wedding with Chuck! And then... I'll kill her then. That should be interesting."
Adriana left.
Eleanor smirked. "Yvette, aren't you afraid?"
"No."
Yvette was livid and decisive.
"That's true. It's useless to be afraid. You will die regardless." Eleanor shrugged.
"I'll hunt you down even if I am a ghost." Yvette's eyes turned cold.
"Whatever. I've killed so many people, including Karen. They don't even try to haunt me, so can you? Well, I'll be expecting you at night." Eleanor laughed.
Yvette hated her so much.
"How do you feel about your so-called husband meeting with Miss Whitlock? Pain? Uneasiness? A complex mix of emotions?" Eleanor enquired with a grin.
"You're shameless!"
"Interesting." Shrugging her shoulders, Eleanor walked over to give Yvette a slap.
Yvette's eyes were scarlet red. "You'll die a terrible death."
"Is that so? I will surely die, but I'm going to die of old age because no one in this world can kill me. My opponent, Karen, is dead."
Eleanor shrugged.
Indeed, she was currently the best fighter in the world.
No one could kill her.
Yvette was not desperate. She was just sad and angry.
She knew that given Eleanor's strength, only Karen could beat her.
The current power that Chuck possessed was not on par with her and it would take him way too long to achieve her level.
Could it be that someone like Eleanor really couldn't be killed?
"Let's just wait and see. You won't be able to live much longer."
Yvette was silent. She hoped that Adriana wouldn't treat Chuck that way.
No.
Adriana appeared in front of Chuck with a smile and enquired, "Chuck, why are you here?"
Chuck fell silent for a moment. Although he was extremely livid, he concealed it. "Adriana, I want to talk to you about something."
"Go ahead."
"I want revenge on Sabina," Chuck said.
"Well, can we get married as soon as possible?" Chuck asked.
"Of course it is not a problem. After three days, I will inherit the Whitlock family. What if we get married at that time?"
Adriana smiled slightly. On that day, she was supposed to do something big.
But this news made her day even better!
"Whatever you say. Once we get married, I will slowly fall in love with you."
"Well, I'll give you time. Come, let's eat. I'll ask the best chef in the world to cook for you. You can eat whatever you want."
"Alright."
After dinner, Adriana arranged for Chuck to rest and she came back to boast again.
"Yvette, you'll never be able to guess what Chuck just said to me." Adriana beamed at her.
However, Yvette did not spare her a glance.
At the moment, Yvette looked extremely haggard.
"Chuck said he wants to marry me!"
Yvette was taken aback. "What did you say??" "Didn't you hear me clearly? He wants to marry me. Can you comprehend? I guess I got the last laugh." Adriana grinned at her. "You must know that I'm the most outstanding person in the world. It's Chuck's blessing to marry me."
Yvette sighed internally, "Hubby, are you really going to marry her? Well, it's up to you, because I'm going to die..."
"Chuck is still smart. He knows that I can give him everything he wants. I can indeed give him whatever he wants." Adriana giggled at the thought.
Her laughter was fuelled by her desire to control everything.
Chuck was about to marry her!
