Mr. President You Are The Daddy Of My Triplets novel Chapter 475

Chapter 475: 475- Didn’t Return

"Shouldn’t Anaya be back by now?" Olivia asked Emma while having dinner in the hostel’s dining room.

They hadn’t seen her ever since she left the hostel this morning.

"Something is fishy. Who calls someone for an interview this early? Starting your day this early as an employee is understandable but... I’ve never seen anyone being called for an interview before working hours," Emma told her while slowly chewing her bread, "Well! The good thing is Paige was with her, and she is also not here for the dinner so maybe... they’re having a celebration party."

Olivia poked her elbow lightly into her ribs, "Don’t forget. Aniya asked us to trust her. We can’t come up with assumptions unless we don’t hear it from her."

Emma nodded at her and poured some more vegetable soup into her bowl when Olivia called her name, "Hey, Em. Did you try to reach Anaya on phone?"

Emma shrugged and took a sip from her spoon, "I sent a text but there was no response so I thought she might be busy with the new job."

Olivia found it odd. The manager of a five-star hotel invited Anaya for an interview and then asked her to start the job the same day.

There was something she was missing and that was the reason, she wanted to wait for Paige instead of going to bed.

"Let’s go to the living room. We can’t go to bed without meeting Paige or Anaya. God knows where they are," Olivia stretched and looked at the clock. She was too tired to keep her eyes open, but she had to do it for her friend’s sake.

"Tonight, they are serving ice cream for dessert," Emma told her with a big grin.

Olivia narrowed her eyes, "Last time I checked, you were on a diet."

"Not anymore. Tonight is my cheat day," Emma batted her lashes and then reached out to hold the ice cream bowl from the server, "Wow. Strawberry flavor."

She closed her eyes in ecstasy and Olivia couldn’t help the smile that graced her lips. Shaking her head, she took out her phone and tried calling Anaya again.

Strange. Now her phone was switched off.

Olivia became more concerned about her.

Taking slow steps Olivia and Emma were walking to the living room. They were planning to order coffee to stay awake a little more.

"I think we should talk to Mrs. Eileen," Emma told Olivia whose eyes were busy watching someone who was walking to the stairs.

"Paige!" Olivia called her loudly, her voice echoed in the corridor.

Paige who seemed to be busy on call, her smile seemed to fade when she spotted Olivia and Emma.

Still holding the phone to her ear, she mumbled a quick, "I’ll call you later," and ended the call.

Turning to face them, she folded her arms, "What?"

Olivia felt uncomfortable. Paige seemed to be avoiding the eye contact.

"But Mrs. Eileen. Anaya is still out there somewhere in her vulnerable condition. You know she was still in her recovering stage."

Mrs. Eileen now seemed puzzled, "Calling my employer at this ungodly hour isn’t decent. What would I say? Mr. Donovan! Is Anaya with you? I’m her mom," her lips pressed into a thin line, "You girls are putting me in a very difficult position," she finished with a sigh.

Even in this tense situation, Olivia found it funny. She didn’t want to tell Mrs. Eileen that Anaya had been involved with the boss. But her guess was, that Mrs. Eileen had somehow predicted it.

"Anaya could be in trouble," Emma pleaded to the elderly woman, "We wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important."

Mrs. Eileen rubbed her forehead, "What if she’s just out somewhere safe? What if I create an unnecessary panic?"

Olivia crossed her arms, "And what if she’s not? What if something bad would happen and we waited too long?"

The way, George Donovan came to the hostel straight from the airport to meet Anaya. Mrs. Eileen wasn’t a fool.

"Mrs. Eileen. We all have our boss’s business contact number. If you have his personal contact number, then I can make the call. You won’t be questioned."

"I might be questioned as to how you two got his phone number. I’m not allowed to share it."

"Mrs. Eileen you might get questioned about why he wasn’t informed on time when Anaya didn’t return."

That made Mrs. Eileen go pale, and she shifted uncomfortably.
