Mr. President You Are The Daddy Of My Triplets novel Chapter 288

Chapter 288: 288- New And Happy Memories

"Marissa!"

Marissa was the last one leaving the library behind Sophie when Mr. Barter called her from behind.

She looked over her shoulder and found the elderly man looking for something in his leather bag.

He took out a large Manila envelope and extended it to her, "Rafael asked me to give it to you, five years back when he was looking for you."

Marissa frowned and held the envelope from his hand. For a moment, her hand shivered as she got a slight whiff of the familiar male cologne.

"Let me know if you need anything. I’ll be just a call away," Marissa nodded her head. With a sigh, she looked up and found Sophie watching her.

"Go to your room. Read it," Sophie suggested softly.

Clamping her lips, she clutched the envelope to her chest and started walking lazily to her room.

He wrote me a letter! He made me the owner of MSin. What were you even thinking Rafael?

Once inside her room, she shut the door behind her and hurriedly tore the envelope. A paper fell on the floor. Instead of picking it up, she sat down and quickly unfolded it.

Her hands shivered when she saw the familiar handwriting.

Ignoring the large lump in her throat, she slowly got up and started reading the letter.

My dearest wife, Marissa.

Yes. Now I know that you are my wife. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry, Marissa. Why didn’t I trust you? You tried to tell me, and I got blind. You were right, darling. I got my blindness after the eye surgery.

I don’t know where you are. Wherever you are, I wish I could be there with you. I want to see my kids being born. I want to hold your hand in the labor room. If I don’t find you in time, then there are so many milestones, I’ll be missing.

In the last two years, to be honest, I sometimes did feel that I was with you and not Valerie. But then I thought I was being unfair to Valerie by thinking of you. You were my sister-in-law and deserved my respect.

Marissa! Darling! I don’t know if this letter will find you or not. If it does, then this means I’m no more. Can you forgive me, darling? Can you find it in your heart to forgive me for my sins? For not trusting you?

I am looking for you like a crazy madman. And do you know why?

Because of kids? No!

Because of you!

I realized later when you left, how our souls were connected. I miss that connection. I miss us.

Last but not the least. Don’t trust anyone, honey. Do you get that? No matter how close that person is to you or me. Don’t trust them.

People nowadays worship the ones who have money. Make sensible decisions. Remember our discussions regarding business and finances? Apply those. I trust you, Marissa Sinclair.

Yes, you are my wife. And I trust you, wifey!

Pay my mom, her due share. Joseph will help you with that.

Don’t hate me, Marissa. I can bear anything in this world but not your hatred.

I wish I could find you on time, wifey.

So that we can live together and can raise our kids.

My love. Take very good care of yourself. Never forget that you are way stronger than you think.

Bye. Love you forever.

Yours and only yours.

Rafael Sinclair. (The man who will never forget that strawberry taste on his lips.)

Marissa read the letter twice...

Thrice... freēwēbηovel.c૦m

Damn, these tears.

(The man who will never forget that strawberry taste on his lips," he whispered, and she cried even more.

Why? Oh, God! Why?

"Mommy!" the scared voice of Abigail made her go still.

"Abi?"

"Mommy. Can we come in?" Marissa quickly got up and dashed to the door to open it.

Her kids were standing there with Emily standing behind them.

"I’m sorry, Mrs. Sinclair. They were adamant about seeing you," Emily explained with an apologetic smile.

The kids were eyeing Marissa’s red blotchy face.

Marissa looked down at the innocent faces of her kids.

How could she forget about the purpose of her life anymore? Here it was.

Her lifelines.

She kneeled and spread her arms for her kids. They at once jumped at her and held her tightly. The plan was to have a family hug and cry together in the memory of their father.

But alas!

Marissa lost her balance as she pulled the kids into her. Her feet stumbled backwards, and she landed on her back on the floor, taking the kids with her. With a surprise gasp, the kids landed right on top of her and Ariel started giggling.

For a brief moment, they all found her giggles alien and exchanged glances in confusion. Then without warning, Marissa cracked up. Following her, Abi and Alex also started laughing.

For them, the situation was oddly hilarious.

Emily who was standing right there, couldn’t control her tears.

She turned to Sophia who had suggested taking the kids to Marissa. She was aware of her friend’s sadness and felt it was time to lift the grief that hung over the house.

It was high time; this house was filled with laughter and joy to create new and happy memories.
