Chapter 284: 284- Rafael’s Property In Val’s Name

Geena was brushing her half-dried hair, standing in front of the mirror when there was a sudden knock on the door.

"Yes?"

"May I come in?" She smiled when she found Ethan standing in the doorway.

"Hey, handsome!" She quickly started applying primer on her skin with the tip of her fingers.

"Getting ready for the will reading?" Instead of taking a chair, he leaned back against the wall and looked at her through the mirror. A faint smirk was playing on his lips as he saw her rubbing her fingers across her face.

"Yeah. One can’t say no to Nina so easily, so don’t worry. Resignation is safe with me. I want to attend this ... so-called... will-reading..." she rolled her eyes making him chuckle, "Can you believe it? Will reading ceremony! Huh?"

Ethan saw her spreading foundation on her face. He wanted to tell her that her skin didn’t need it but then thought to stay quiet.

"Yesterday you said, you weren’t sure about semester payments," he paused as if hesitant enough to continue.

Geena stopped and tilted her head, holding a lipstick, "Hmm. Then?"

He grinned when saw her cooking up a brow, "How about if... I mean if I’m interested in financing it... like ..."

Geena was quick to raise her hand and stop him from speaking, "No... No, Ethan."

"B-but why? You can pay me back later... plus you accepted Rafael’s offer so what difference does it make?"

"For me, it does," she said and applied the lip color hurriedly, "No one can take his place, Ethan and I need you to respect my wishes."

When Ethan didn’t speak, she looked back and found him digging the carpet with the tip of his shoe.

"Ethan!"

Ethan at last raised his face, "Hmm?"

"If I need anything, I’ll let you know. I swear. But right now, let me stand on my two feet. Please," Ethan nodded with a tight smile,

"Fine. Now be ready, as will- reading ceremony is about to start," a playful smile tugged at his lips.

Geena chuckled and turned back to the mirror, "I’m almost ready."

Nobody can take Rafael Sinclair’s place, Ethan. Nah! Never! You don’t know what I know about him!

Valerie stepped back from the mirror, giving herself a slow once over. She whistled, clearly impressed at what she saw.

The emerald-colored mini-skirt, she wore, clung to her ass perfectly. The black blouse looked perfect with it.

She bought it, especially for this will-reading occasion. She wanted to look her best and needed to appear confident. Marissa needed to know that good looks would always stay in fashion.

"You decided to leave me, honey, and go back to Marissa," Valerie talked to Rafael while looking at her reflection, "and see what happened. You died because of her." She said with a pout.

A soft knock at the door made her turn. A waiter walked in, carrying a tray of breakfast. He set it down carefully, glancing up at her once before looking away.

Valerie forced an over-brightened smile to her lips and asked the waiter, "How do I look?" she adjusted a loose strand of her hair, curiosity was evident on her face.

The waiter hesitated and started setting the coffee table, by transferring the plates and coffee cup from the tray.

"I’m asking you something," she asked with a frown, "Do I look alright? This is a very important meeting of my life, and I need to look my best."

The waiter’s cheeks turned slightly red as he met her eyes, "You... You look beautiful, ma’am," he complimented her shyly, "Very beautiful, indeed."

"Hmm," Pleased with the compliment, she picked up her purse and took out a hundred-dollar bill, "Here. Keep it. Because after today’s meeting, I will be the richest woman on this planet. Ha-ha,"

Humming to herself, she took a seat at the coffee table. As she reached for the coffee cup, she thought of the upcoming meeting.

She wished Rafael couldn’t get enough time to write anything for his kids. Because in that case, Marissa would be left with only MSin Palace.

Valerie was very much interested in buying the palace for herself.

"Let’s get done with the breakfast, Valerie. We can’t be late for this will-reading ceremony," Muttering to herself, she took a sip of her coffee.

She couldn’t wait to get Rafael’s property in her name. Today would be the most memorable day of her life.

And she wasn’t wrong.
