Seeing that Nina was about to panic, and noticing in the distance that Amelia was already walking ahead with Leo, Benjamin finally spoke, giving Nina a perfunctory response as she was still holding his face.
“Yeah, it doesn’t hurt anymore.”
He said it while picking Nina up and walking toward Amelia.
He didn’t go straight to her-instead, he stopped a short distance away, silently watching Amelia argue with
Leo.
Amelia was not someone who could be pushed around. Leo’s attempts at manipulating her were completely
useless.
She refused him outright when he tried to get her to capitalize on her ship buzz with Daniel to make a quick pile of cash.
She shot back, “I’ve told you many times-I’m really not in that kind of relationship with Daniel.
“He’s not chasing me. That ship can’t be marketed.”
Leo didn’t believe a word of it.
“If he’s not chasing you, why is he so good to you?!
“Come on, Amelia, stop pretending. I know you’re just trying to avoid the endorsements the company arranged, but think for a second-do you think those high-quality deals would ever fall on you?
“The company is already doing you a favor!”
Leo kept repeating the same lines. Amelia snapped back angrily, “I’m not taking those shady deals you’re talking about.”
Most of the brands the company offered her had already collapsed. Some of them had misogynistic scandals, and their products had quality issues.
Amelia would rather turn down the money than get involved with brands like that.
Leo shouted, “Amelia, this isn’t up to you! We signed a contracts
“If you think you can do whatever you want, let me tell you-absolutely not!”
While Leo and Amelia were clashing, Darius-who had come to find Amelia-heard everything clearly,
Before he could step up to help her, he suddenly spotted Benjamin.
The moment he was about to greet him warmly, Nina waved her chubby little hand at him first.
“Hello!”

This tiny extrovert could never look at someone without saying something.
After greeting him, she even flashed him a wide, bright smile.
Darius’ attention shifted to her instantly.
He strode up to Benjamin, answered Nina politely, then turned to Benjamin.
He said, “Mr. Graham, are you here to see Amelia?
“She’s talking to her agent right now. I’m afraid she won’t be able to come greet you.”
“Her agent?” Benjamin asked casually.

Darius smiled and explained in detail, “Yes, that man talking to her is her agent. They’re not getting along very well. I heard her company wants her to take some… fast-profit endorsements, but Amelia refused, so they’re arguing.
“And honestly, her company is being very shady.
That company already has a bad reputation. From what I know, Amelia has been benched for a long time.
“It’s a pity, really. She’s beautiful, has a good personality, and she acts well. If she had a better company, she definitely wouldn’t be stuck where she is now.”
As if it were idle gossip, Darius laid out the company’s rotten practices and Leo’s bad record without holding anything back.
And Benjamin, holding Nina in his arms, listened to every word in silence.
His expression didn’t change, but the fact that he listened so long told smart people like Darius everything he needed to know-Benjamin had taken in every detail.
Darius said. “Mr. Graham, would you like to see Amelia? I can call her over for you.”
“No need.” Benjamin declined calmly. “Let her work in peace. I’ll pick her up after she’s done.”
That single, understated sentence-“pick her up and take her home”-made Darius’ heart jump.
He had already been notified earlier that someone with great influence in the Graham family was backing Amelia. He knew that person was Benjamin.
