Chapter 408 Hidden Flaunting
Seeing Edward and the dog, Nina nodded her little head and agreed to go out to play.
Not long after the trio, plus the dog, left, Trevor arrived.
Catherine looked at him, not bothering to hide the impatience in her eyes.
Trevor was familiar with that look from Catherine.
He used to give the same look to people who showed up unannounced.
Now the tables had turned.
“I’m just here to see Nina. I won’t stay long,” Trevor said first.
Catherine’s expression didn’t improve. “Nina’s not here. She went out.”
Trevor paused. “Where did she go?”
Catherine’s expression turned even more dismissive. “Ask Daniel.”
She truly couldn’t be bothered with more visitors today.
So she left after saying that.
Her estate usually required advance permission for anyone to visit.
But today, it had somehow turned into a public reception area.
Trevor, who was usually the one giving cold shoulders, received a thorough one from Catherine.
He took it in stride, saying nothing.
Now that Grace was back, Trevor’s face might not show it, but he could finally be nice to the whole world.
Trevor left without seeing Nina.
On his way back, he got a call from Lester.
Lester had heard he was in town.
They were friends. Even though a recent business deal fell through, their relationship wasn’t ruined.

Lester wanted to meet.
Trevor didn’t refuse and gave Lester an address.
After that, Trevor added casually, “Bring some flowers when you come. Jasmine.”
“Jasmine?” Lester was taken aback.
He remembered jasmine well.
It was Grace’s favorite flower, and it had become a taboo subject for Trevor.
Lester wondered why the taboo was suddenly lifted.
As if sensing his confusion, Trevor added lightly, “Grace is back. She likes jasmine the most.”
Lester hung up on him without another word.
As longtime friends, Lester instantly recognized Trevor’s tone-casual on the surface but dripping with hidden flaunting.
He wasn’t going to give Trevor the satisfaction.
Trevor didn’t mind the hang-up.
He knew Lester would show up with the jasmine later.
Right now, he needed to get back to Grace.
If Grace was well enough, they could go home.
Trevor had a house here and also had a private doctor.
Whether it was Grace or Nelson, they could receive care at home just as well.
As Trevor hurried back to the hospital, Nina, who was out, played with Drew.
Drew was quite brave.
He wasn’t afraid of Nina for once.
‘He ran fast. Nina’s foot wasn’t fully healed, so she couldn’t keep up.
She had shown her foot to Daniel after they went out.
Daniel didn’t mind her chubby foot. He held it and gave it a little rub.

“Un-coo Dan’el, Nina no want run,” Nina said.
After playing outside for a while, her activity was limited by her sore foot..
She couldn’t run as long as before.
The moment Daniel heard she couldn’t run, he picked her up
without hesitation.
He said, “If you don’t want to run, don’t run. I will carry you. Are you hungry? Let’s go get something to eat, okay?”
It was lunchtime. Daniel wouldn’t dream of letting Nina go hungry.
