Miracle Cutie (Amelia and Benjamin) novel Chapter 405

Chapter 405 Asked Him To Leave

She told Tina to stop talking. Tina, afraid of another spanking, closed her mouth. But she stood close to Nina, showing she was on her side.

The adults were thoroughly exasperated.

Amelia couldn’t take it anymore. She stopped the others from trying to coax Nina.

She put on a stern face herself. “Nina, you cannot keep Anya. She is someone else’s baby.

“I’m going to count to three. Give Anya back. One. Two.”

When Amelia got to two, Nina, standing guard in front of the stroller with her cheeks puffed out, said, “Thwee!”

She’d heard counting enough times to know how to finish.

Seeing her completely unyielding and defiant, Amelia decided to stop sparing her feelings.

“Fine. You insist on being this disobedient?” she asked.

Amelia picked Nina up firmly. As Nina struggled, Amelia gave her plump bottom a few firm, ungentle smacks.

Nina wailed.

While she cried, Elizabeth finally got to hold Anya.

Despite being with Nina all this time, Anya was thankfully unharmed.

Elizabeth breathed a sigh of relief, kissed Anya, then placed her back in the stroller and pushed it toward Nina.

She said, “Nina, don’t cry. Anya can play with you a little longer.”

After checking on Anya, Elizabeth turned to comfort Nina.

She was fine with the two little ones playing together.

And she just couldn’t let Nina claim Anya as her own.

Seeing the stroller pushed back, Nina wiped her tears, rubbed her bottom, and went back to looking at Anya.

With the babies together, the adults let them play for now and turned their attention elsewhere.

Now, with Nina right there, Amelia couldn’t stop staring. But the exhaustion caught up with her.

She sat on the sofa and didn’t even realize when she fell asleep.

Amelia didn’t know how she fell asleep, but Benjamin saw it clearly.

When she could no longer stay upright, he subtly offered his shoulder.

Amelia fell asleep leaning against him.

After she was asleep, he simply picked her up and carried her to a room to sleep properly.

Catherine had no intention of letting these adults stay.

But Benjamin, with that face so reminiscent of Sienna’s, made her hold her tongue. She coldly allowed them to remain.

Benjamin secured a room without issue. William didn’t get the same courtesy.

Catherine had no kind expression or attitude toward William.

In a short span, she had asked him to leave several times.

And her dismissal was for William alone.

When William stated he would leave—and take Nina with him-Catherine’s gaze turned cold.

While the older generation remained locked in a stalemate, Amelia and Benjamin managed to get some rest in their room.

After settling Amelia, Benjamin went back out to check on Nina.

Nina was still keeping watch over Anya.

Benjamin walked over. He didn’t tell her to give Anya back.

Instead, he remarked calmly, “Anya is cute.”

‘Nina was confused and stared at him.

She’d been saying Anya was cute herself. But hearing Benjamin say it immediately felt wrong.

Benjamin pretended not to notice her displeased little face.

After his calm compliment, he picked Anya up.

Anya was asleep and didn’t fuss.

Benjamin said casually, “Nina, didn’t you want to raise a baby?

“If you’re going to raise her, then she’ll have to sleep with your mommy and me. She’s too little. She needs to be held and rocked to sleep. If we’re holding and rocking her, we won’t have time to hold you anymore. Are you okay with that?”

By the time Benjamin finished his calm question, Nina’s chubby face had turned cross.
