They remained in the lounge until boarding time. Just then, Nina started to get sleepy. She lay against Benjamin’s chest, drowsy and ready to fall asleep.

She prepared a bottle of milk and fed it to Nina as the plane took off.

Nina also had earplugs put in.

Both Amelia and Benjamin had made thorough preparations.

This time, with the earplugs and milk, Nina’s ears didn’t hurt the way they had before.

Nina only drank less than half the bottle of milk before refusing more.

She no longer liked formula much. Unless she was truly hungry, she would only take a few sips.

new toy.

“Play with the doctor toy your uncle bought for you.”

Benjamin took out the small doctor’s coat and the syringe without a needle, letting Nina play at being a

doctor.

Nina had never played with this before.

She stared at the toys for a few seconds, then decisively asked her mother to help her put on the white coat.

“Mommy, I doctor!”

The first thing Doctor Nina did was treat her parents.

When it pressed into Benjamin’s arm, he hissed softly in pain.

The moment Amelia heard him hiss, she shot upright.

“Nina, Mommy is better now. No fever anymore. Nina is such a good doctor!”

Amelia truly didn’t dare let Nina give her a shot.

She sat up and firmly declared herself cured.

Nina clutched the syringe and leaned closer, touching Amelia’s forehead.

Doctor Nina had gotten addicted to giving shots. She insisted on giving her mother one too.
