Chapter 355 Nina Refuses to Leave
“How about we come back tomorrow to play, okay?”
Daniel tried to reason with Nina, but she wasn’t having any of it.
She was surprisingly strong! Daniel could barely hold onto her as she thrashed.
Luckily, Daniel had plenty of strength.
After struggling for a while without getting free, Nina finally ran out of patience.
Her mouth drooped, her eyes squeezed shut, and she burst into loud, heartbroken sobs.
“No go home! Un-coo Dan’el go ‘way! Nelson… Nelson hug me!”
Nina cried harder, her plump little body still kicking wildly.
Daniel couldn’t handle it anymore.
“Nina, don’t cry, honey. We’ll come back first thing tomorrow morning to play, alright?
“When we get home, I’ll buy you toys-lots and lots of toys.
“We’ll eat cookies at home!”
Daniel tried every gentle promise he could think of, but it made no difference.
Nina refused to go home no matter what.
As she cried, she even started coughing.

Daniel had seen her cry so hard she threw up before, so when her sobs turned this intense, he instantly gave up on force.
“Okay, Nina, I was wrong. We’re not going home.”
Completely out of options, Daniel helplessly set the struggling little girl back on the floor.
The second her feet touched the ground, Nina ran straight to Nelson.
“Nelson hug.”
She buried her tear-streaked, wet face against Nelson’s chest.
Nelson was still in his small wheelchair-he couldn’t easily pick her up like this.
“Nina, don’t cry.” He could only lower his head and comfort her with words.
When Nina saw Nelson’s injured leg, she remembered he couldn’t hold her properly.
She lifted her chubby hands and wiped her eyes.
After wiping away the tears, she suddenly dove toward Trevor’s leg instead.
“Hug me,” she said.

mished
Nina sniffled and whimpered, seeking comfort from anyone who would give it.
Trevor listened to her crying and realized-for the first me-that this particular child was exceptionally difficult to deal with.
The difficult child clung to his leg, trying to climb up but unable to manage it alone.
Just as Nina looked ready to break down completely, Trevor glanced at Nelson.
Nelson was already reaching for his small crutch.
He was preparing to stand and come over to comfort her.
Though Trevor remained distant toward his son, seeing him struggle like that made him frown. Before Nelson could get up, Trevor bent down and lifted the sobbing Nina into his arms.
The moment she was up, Nina wrapped her arms tightly around Trevor’s neck.
She pressed her wet, chubby cheek against his neck.
Trevor didn’t have a germ phobia, but being smeared with a child’s tears still made him want to put her down.
Before he could move to set her aside, Nina sniffled against his neck and spoke in a pitiful voice, “Hold me more?”
Trevor’s brows furrowed. His hand paused.
“I no go. We play together?”
Nina clung even tighter, her voice thick with tears as she started chatting with him.
Trevor didn’t know how to respond.
While Trevor held Nina, Daniel had already stepped aside to make a phone call.
“Benjamin, I’m completely out of moves! Nina refuses to leave! She insists on staying here.
“She’s glued to Trevor! She won’t let me take her home.
“Every time I try to carry her, she cries! She’s coughing from crying so hard!”
After venting to Benjamin, Daniel turned and recorded a quick video of Nina sitting in Trevor’s arms.
He sent it to the group chat and repeated his complaints there.
Seeing Nina so unwilling to come home, Amelia immediately offered to come pick her up.
But when she thought about Trevor’s cold face, she hesited. He didn’t seem easy to talk to.
While Amelia was still wondering how to get Nina back. Benjamin spoke up. “I’ll go get her.”
