“Don’t worry. He’s always been a real soft touch when it comes to women. And he seems head-over-heels for this chubby girl,” Alistair added.
Meanwhile, Nina, sitting on a hard rock munching on bread, was keeping one eye on her bread and the other on the surroundings.
As hours slipped by, night descended, draping the entire expanse in darkness.
Out in this desolate no-man’s-land, the wild denizens made sporadic, hair-raising rustles.
Nancy, a first-timer in this place, was a bundle of nerves.
She snuggled up to Alistair, pressing her face into his chest, and said, her voice quavering, “Is it safe here? What if a wild critter sneaks in?”
Nancy’s constant nuzzling got Alistair all riled up.
“If anything comes in, I’ll keep you safe,” he murmured, his breath growing ragged.
He then rolled on top of her, ready for some action.
Nancy pushed at his chest gently. “Not here. Nina’s right there.”
Normally, Nancy was all about doing what Alistair wanted.
But being a schoolteacher, she just couldn’t bring herself to do this in front of Nina.
Alistair’s frustration only grew at her reluctance. “Wait here.”
With that, he hopped out of bed, grabbed the tied-up Nina, and chucked her towards the cave entrance. Then he turned back.
The little thing hit the ground with a thud, lying at an awkward angle. She looked completely confused, clearly still trying to wrap her head around what had just happened.
Alistair took a couple of steps, then glanced back menacingly. “There are tigers out there, and all sorts of wild beasts. You make a peep, and they’ll gobble you up quick,” he warned.
Nina’s chubby cheeks quivered at the threat.
With big, teary eyes, she stammered, “I back…”
Alistair smirked, seeing her fear. “Stay put, and you’ll be fine.”
Once he’d dealt with Nina, Alistair rushed back to Nancy to take care of his needs.
Inside the cave, the two adults began to have sex.
As soon as Alistair was gone, the fear on Nina’s face vanished like magic.
She’d been faking it all along!

Chapter 34 Escape
Nina wasn’t the least bit scared of wild animals.

At home, besides being crazy about car-themed cartoons, her favorite thing was watching “Animal Planet.”
Tigers, lions, snakes, and all those creepy-crawlies? She was in love.
Amelia often took her to the zoo, too.
While Nancy and Alistair were occupied, Nina got to work.
She was determined to get out of those ropes.
Nancy had tied them, but not very tightly.
After a whole lot of wiggling and tugging, Nina’s face turned as red as a tomato, and her little wrists were rubbed raw.
But finally, she was free!
The moment the ropes came off, Nina didn’t waste a second. She took off like a shot on her tiny legs.
Outside, the wind howled like a banshee. Wearing just her little dress, Nina was shivering. And then, a strong gust knocked her off her feet.
But Nina didn’t cry.
There was no point crying when there was no one around to comfort her.
“Bad… ground!” she said, getting up and stamping her glowing sandals on the ground.
After venting her anger, she huffed and kept running.
She wanted to put as much distance as possible between herself and those bad guys.
Nina, who had no idea where she was going, just ran blindly into the night.
Was it sheer luck or perhaps some kind of unseen “bald eagle” that kept Nina safe in the wild?
As she wandered out there, not a single wild beast crossed her path.
Even the snakes, a common sight in the woods, seemed to have given her a wide berth.
However, the darkness proved to be a more formidable fog. “Ouch, hurt!” Nina whined, having stumbled and fallen multiple times.
With the night so pitch-black, she couldn’t see where she was going, and her little feet kept betraying her.
After one too many tumbles, tears welled up in her eyes, and she was too scared to take another step.
Spotting a cozy little nook formed by two large rocks, she scurried over and squeezed herself in.
Curling up like a chubby little ball, she buried her face, looking utterly forlorn as she awaited the arrival of her family.
