Chapter 256 Too Quick
After Daniel finished explaining, Amelia wasn’t upset at 11.
This incident didn’t even come as a surprise. “It’s fine. I new she’d learn this lesson sooner or later.”
Amelia had scolded Nina at home about jumping off things, but Nina never listened.
Well, now she’s taken a tumble, felt the pain, and she probably won’t dare do it again.

While Amelia adored Nina, she understood that minor ccidents and scrapes were just part of childhood.
She didn’t make a big deal out of it.
Daniel glanced at Benjamin and still felt a chill down his spine.
The whole family waited for Chloe.
After what felt like a long time-long enough for Nina to run out of things to say to the adults-Chloe was wheeled back.
The doctors were pleasantly surprised by her recovery rate.
“At this pace,” one doctor informed them with a smile, “Ms. Graham could be discharged in less than a month.”
Chloe was out of danger but still needed plenty of rest.
Nina’s daily chats with Chloe were postponed.
On the way home, carried by Amelia, Nina kept asking about Chloe, “Why Auntie Chloe no home?”
“She isn’t all better yet, sweetie,” Amelia explained.
Holding Nina, a thought suddenly occurred to Amelia. “Benjamin, Nina still needs her vaccinations.
“Let’s schedule them in a few days. We shouldn’t overlap them with the other shots she just had.”
Benjamin nodded. “Alright.”
The two of them discussed this right in front of Nina.
Nina, sitting on Amelia’s lap, was utterly confused.
After a moment’s processing, she started shaking Amelis arm. “Mommy, Nina no shot. Nina is not sick!”
To prove her point, she even yanked off the small bandage that had been on her arm for two days. “Mommy, see? Nina all good!”
Amelia tossed the bandage into the trash. “Are you really all better?”
Nina said, “Yes!”
Amelia smiled, “Then how about going to school tomorrow?”
Nina said “Yes!” without thinking, then caught herself a said “No!”

“Nina, if you’re not better, you need a shot. If you are beter, then it’s time for school. So tell Mommy, are you better or not?” Amelia asked.
The question short-circuited Nina’s little brain.
She couldn’t process it. Her mouth hung slightly open a she stared blankly at Amelia, speechless.
Everyone in the car silently watched her expression, trying hard not to laugh.
Even Benjamin’s lips twitched slightly as he waited for her answer.
Nina couldn’t reply.
She touched her head, her brows furrowed in impossible concentration.
Her inability to find an answer, ironically, brought a peaceful silence to the car for the rest of the ride home.
Nina remained silent the entire way.
Once they got out of the car, she didn’t even talk to Amelia. She immediately ran off to find the dogs.
Seeing this, Amelia called after her, “Don’t grab the dogs They’ll bite if you hurt them!
“And if you get bitten, Mommy will have to take you for more shots!”
After Amelia’s warning, a nanny followed Nina outside to supervise.
Nina wanted to cuddle the dogs.
But the dogs ran away as soon as they saw her.
A chase between the two dogs and Nina broke out in the yard. Oblivious to the fact that the dogs were avoiding her, Nina thought they were playing.
She ran after them, giggling, until her clothes were damp with sweat.
The nanny, seeing her sweaty state, quickly coaxed her back inside.
Heading inside for a drink, Nina spotted Amelia’s cappuccino on the table.
Nathan had ordered it, timing the delivery so it would a rive just as Amelia got home.
He’d seen all of Amelia’s videos. In one from a while age she mentioned liking cappuccino.
Nathan didn’t drink it himself, but he knew many women enjoyed it.
It wasn’t about the price; he just wanted to make Amelia happy.
Since returning from the jungle, Nathan thought Ameli looked a little thinner, probably from all the traveling.
The cappuccino sat on the table, but Amelia wasn’t ther
Nina stared at the cup for a few seconds.
