Erik was still heartbroken, while Daniel finally remembered the guy.

“This guy and Benjamin don’t get along either.”

Daniel knew why he looked familiar-he’d seen him at Benjamin’s office before.

The guy and Benjamin had beef; they couldn’t stand each other.

Lester had mixed-race looks. Rumors said he was adopted.

Daniel had a terrible impression of him. He sat beside Erik and joined in cursing the man.

They cursed with gusto. But midway through, Daniel felt something off.

It took him a while to slap his forehead and panic. “Nina”

He finally realized what was wrong.

Nina, who had been sitting on the sofa watching TV, was gone!

While Daniel frantically searched, a slightly drunk Erik pointed behind him. “Isn’t Nina right there?”

Daniel’s voice shook. “What did you say?!”

He spun around in disbelief, his hands shaking as he looked over his shoulder.

The sight nearly made him faint.

Nina was indeed sitting cross-legged right behind him-looked like she’d been there a while.

Daniel wanted to die.

Clinging to one last hope, he asked, “Nina… did you hear what I just said?”

Nina answered immediately, “Jerk… Bastard! Pervert! Holly-”

Before she could finish repeating the new words, Danic collapsed and clamped his hand over her mouth.

“Why Auntie Chloe sleep? Sleep long time,” Nina looked at the unconscious Chloe and asked seriously in her baby voice.

Daniel answered, “She will wake up soon. The doctors say she’s getting better.

“In a few days, she’ll wake up and play with you.”

Meanwhile, back at Cameron Villa, Erik woke up after a short nap and looked for Lester’s photo.

He hadn’t even gotten around to cursing at it before he passed out.

He couldn’t sleep.

“Weird-the photo was in the living room. Where is it?”

Erik searched the living room for ages but couldn’t find it.

He asked the nanny-she hadn’t seen it either.

Utterly confused, Erik stood in the living room, lost in thought.

He pondered where it could be, totally oblivious that Nina had taken the photo.
