The youngest, Mia, went missing when she was still tiny After that, Jane’s mind never fully recovered.

In her desperate search for her daughter, Jane had run off in a daze more than once.

Some of those times, she nearly lost her life.

It was always their eldest daughter, Freya, who found her and brought her home.

To keep Jane stable-to keep her alive-they finally agreed to let the fake Mia live at Wilson Villa.

But in the hearts of Freya and Nathan, that girl was never their real sister.

She was the only medicine to save their mother.

They had never stopped looking for the real Mia.

“William, is this your granddaughter?” Gideon said.

Gideon arrived without complaint despite the short notice.

He greeted William with a warm laugh and even brought a gift for Nina.

He added, “I heard your granddaughter loves cars, so I bought her a little one she can drive herself.

The car was the same four-wheeled children’s electric sports car that Lucien often drove.

Nina loved riding in those.

William accepted the gift on her behalf.

Gideon watched Nina already playing with Vincent and walked over with a smile.

He smiled, “Nina, hello. I’m Gideon. Can I have a hug?”

Seeing Vincent use snacks to lure Nina out of William’s arms, Gideon copied the trick and pulled out his

own treats.

Nina studied him with big, round eyes.

William squeezed her chubby hand gently. “Nina, this is Grandpa’s good friend. He bought you a little car. Say hello?”

The moment the words left his mouth, Nina shook her head firmly. “No.”

She didn’t want to say hello.

After rejecting Gideon, she immediately opened her mouth wide at Vincent.

“Nina eat! Nina cookie!” she said.

Vincent’s heart soared-she wanted him, not Gideon!

He reached over, took Nina into his arms, and fed her a cookie with a triumphant grin.

William warned, “Don’t give her too much. She still has o eat lunch soon. Too many snacks and she won’t finish her meal again.”

Vincent nodded. “Got it.”

He let her have just one cookie, then put the rest away.

Gideon, politely turned down, only laughed lightly and joked, “Looks like my snacks aren’t tempting enough.”

He didn’t push to hold her.

He sat down and watched Vincent play with her instead.

Lucien stood nearby holding a mini scooter, clearly wailing for his turn with Nina.

Gideon noticed and teased him with a smile, “Lucien, look how much your grandpa likes Nina. Not jealous?”

Lucien shot him a look. “I like Nina, too.”

The Morris family had always lacked little girls. Lucien had begged his mom for a sister for years.

Now that Nina existed, he had stopped pestering his mother.

He had already declared to the whole household that Nina was enough.

Seeing Lucien wasn’t jealous at all, Gideon kept poking.

“Aren’t you worried your grandpa will only like Nina and forget about you?”

This time, Lucien didn’t even bother replying.

If he didn’t still need to wait for Nina, he would’ve walked off already.

He hated talking to Gideon the most-because Gideon doted on that annoying fake Mia.

Lucien shot back without hofding back, “My grandpa would never only like Nina. But that annoying Mia? Only you like her.

“Mia is so annoying! She always bullies Nina!

“I heard she’s not even your real daughter. You’re weird or keeping such a horrible kid.”

Lucien’s attack was brutal. Gideon’s smile vanished.

He still tried to shield Mia’s identity in front of the children.
