Vincent’s wife, Judy Morris, was a tasteful woman who loved gardening. She had filled the yard with flowers and designed the whole place like a piece of art.

But ever since Lucien came along, the yard that once looked like an art exhibition had been renovated to include a whole collection of children’s play equipment.

The added facilities took away some of the elegance, ye Judy didn’t mind at all.

She loved her precious grandson far more than a beautiful garden.

The Morris family was like this, and now the Graham family had become the same.

The team the Graham family hired to redo their yard and add new facilities was the very same team the Morris family used.

When it came to spoiling children, the two families seemed to compete over who could go further.

“Okay, I want to stay here with you,” Frank said, looking very attached to William.

Seeing the boy wanted to stay, William nodded. “Alright then stay here for a while. If you get bored, you can go off and play.”

With Frank sitting beside them, Vincent didn’t want to chat anymore.

He felt it was inconvenient, especially since he had just advised William to look into Frank’s biological grandfather.

Since Vincent stayed quiet, the atmosphere grew heavy.

Frank either didn’t understand social cues or simply didn’t know how to read the room.

Even with the heavy atmosphere, he still didn’t get up to give the elders space to talk.

He continued chattering at William.

From afar, they even looked somewhat close.

Nina, who was driving the little car back to show her grandpa, happened to see Frank clinging to William’s

arm.

“Grandpa!” Nina shouted in her milky voice, extremely loud, and while shouting, she started climbing out of the still-moving little car.

The car was still rolling, and her sudden move nearly scared Lucien out of his mind.

“Nina, wait! Slow down!” Lucien yelled.

He slammed the brakes immediately and stopped the car in time, but Nina still tumbled out as she scrambled off.

She fell forward onto the ground.

William heard the sound, looked up, and when he saw the little one fall, his heart nearly stopped.

“Nina!!” William stood up so fast he knocked Frank asid

He rushed toward Nina and scooped up the little girl who was still lying on the ground.

“Nina? Does it hurt? Why did you suddenly jump out of he car? That’s very dangerous.”

He was genuinely frightened.

Nina’s mouth had already scrunched up. She had started crying the moment she hit the ground.

The moment he spoke, her tears poured even harder.

“No! No!” Nina tilted up her little face and burst into sobs. “No… Grandpa hold… no… hold! Grandpa… hold Nina! Grandpa hold Nina!”

Her crying completely broke her words, but the crying self stayed extremely consistent.

She couldn’t make a full sentence, but William understood her instantly.

Nina didn’t allow him to hold anyone else.

She was saying he was her grandpa.

Her grandpa was not allowed to hold other kids.

She was tiny, but her possessiveness was fierce, just like her father.

William promised, “Alright, alright, Nina, don’t cry. Grandpa won’t hold anyone else, okay? Grandpa will only hold Nina from now on. Is that okay?”

Though she was still crying so hard she hiccupped, her hoarse little voice immediately answered, “Okay!”

The two clung to each other tightly, and Nina seemed afraid her grandpa might hold someone else again. She didn’t even want the little car anymore.

She stuck to William like a little koala.

William felt helpless yet sweetly amused.

He said, “Nina, you can go play. You don’t have to watch over Grandpa. Grandpa promised, I really won’t hold anyone else.”

He promised, yet Nina absolutely refused to let go,

In the end, William had no choice but to carry her around the Morris Villa for most of the day,

After lunch, William carried her back home.

She even brought the little car with her.

The little car was something Lucien lent her.
