She turned on her heel and walked out, still cradling Anelia in her arms.

She needed to get Amelia to the hospital.

While all this chaos was going down with Amelia, Nina, back home, had officially lost interest in toys.

“Daddy.” Nina tugged Benjamin’s hand and marched toward the door. “Go out! Want Mommy.”

Nina insisted on finding Amelia; she wouldn’t play with oys or watch TV.

The nanny offered her favorite little snacks.

Nina kept pulling Benjamin and pointed at the door with her chubby finger. “Want Mommy! Miss Mommy!”

Nina wouldn’t let it go, and Benjamin had already planned to pick Amelia up anyway.

He had just wanted Nina to eat dinner first.

Now that Nina refused food and only wanted Amelia, he decided to take Amelia home so they could all eat together.

“Okay, we’ll go get her,” he said.

Benjamin scooped up the squirming Nina, then grabbed the big blue diaper bag he always took when they left the house.

He told Nina to behave, then quickly asked Freya which hospital.

After getting the name, he added, “Send me the details on WhatsApp. I’m on my way.”

Freya said, “Got it.”

Freya heard Nina in the background and knew Benjamin had his hands full. She sent the address, plus everything that had happened today, straight to his WhatsApp.

Benjamin hung up and headed to the hospital with Nina in his arms.

On the ride, Nina sat on his lap with teary eyes.

For the first time ever, Nina stayed perfectly still in the car.

Every few seconds, she looked up at Benjamin with her round face. “Want Mommy!”

Benjamin squeezed her little hand gently and answered softly every time, “Yeah, we’re going to your mommy.”

Nina repeated “Want Mommy” the whole way. Benjamin answered every single time without getting tired.

While they raced to the hospital, Freya stayed right by Amelia’s side.

Amelia had taken a blow to the head. After the exams, she was now getting an IV drip.

The cut on her neck had been bandaged, too.

Freya had watched the whole bandaging process.

Looking at Amelia’s wounds, Freya felt her chest tighten for no reason.

Amelia was still unconscious and couldn’t feel the pain right now, but Freya still took her hand and softened her voice. “It’ll stop hurting soon. Don’t be scared.”

The doctor noticed how worried Freya looked and tried to comfort her, “Ms. Wilson, don’t worry-your sister isn’t in danger.

“She just has a concussion and needs rest for a while.

“We’re using the best ointment on her neck.”
