She narrowed her clear eyes slightly, her voice cool and faint. "Caleb Sommers."
When she spoke, her tone was lazy, carrying the slight rasp of someone who had just woken up.
Caleb looked up at her.
She said, "Come here."
He froze for a second.
"Running with me is definitely better than being a dog," Serena said, a smirk playing on her lips.
Bianca was frantic with rage. "Caleb, don't you dare?! I'm warning you, if you actually betray the Doyles, betray me, and team up with that bitch, my family will cut your funding immediately! Let's see how you pay for your grandmother's medical bills then!"
The color drained from Caleb's face inch by inch until it was completely bloodless, his entire body trembling subtly.

Caleb's fingers tightened.
He thought of his grandmother lying in her hospital bed.
He thought of the astronomical medical bills.
