"Dr. Baldur?" Anna noticed the wildly frantic expressions on the doctors' faces.
Her eyes widened, and she jabbed a finger at Serena. "I knew it! The test results are back! It's full of toxic ingredients that could have killed them, and now they're here to hold you accountable!"
Isabella paled, acting utterly horrified. "Serena, did you... did you really... They treat you so well, how could you..."
"Dear God!"
Baldur rushed forward, clutching the test report with both hands, his face flushed with adrenaline. "The... the ingredients in this meal..."
"Just say it, Dr. Baldur! Is there a bunch of toxic garbage in there meant to harm them?" Anna demanded eagerly, a sick thrill dancing in her eyes.
Dr. Baldur gave her a bizarre look.
Why did this family member look like she was praying for the food to be poisoned?
He ignored Anna entirely and strode straight up to Serena. He was shaking so hard his voice cracked. "God, we... we can't analyze the compounds in this!"
"You can't analyze it?" Anna frowned. "What does that mean? Did the toxic levels break your machines?"
"Not that we can't process it!" The blonde doctor behind Baldur corrected her, staring at Serena with a gaze bordering on religious reverence. His voice was hoarse with awe. "It's the active components! Their combination completely defies everything we know about modern pharmacology. But... they blend flawlessly to form an unprecedented new substance. A compound that works absolute miracles in repairing damaged myocardial cells!"
He took a ragged breath, completely unhinged with excitement. "It's a medical marvel! I never imagined Elyndor's natural remedies could achieve such impossible results. This... this belongs in medical textbooks!"
The doctor's declaration drained the color from Anna's face, leaving her ashen. Her voice pitched into a shrill shriek. "What?!"
She stared at Serena in utter disbelief.
A medical marvel?
