The man in the lead narrowed his deep, captivating dark eyes, staring at the two slender figures walking away. His aristocratically cool and strikingly handsome face showed no emotion.
It was the man next to him who spoke, clicking his tongue. “Nicholas, it looks like Miss Lancaster has a thing for the sweet-girl type! The moment Brianna acts cute, Miss Lancaster would probably give her life for her. I guess… the only way to conquer a cool, mature woman is with a sweet, cute girl.”
As he spoke, he suddenly felt the air around him turn inexplicably cold.
It was so cold he swallowed hard and cautiously shifted his gaze to the man beside him.
He was met with a pair of eyes that looked like shattered ice.
Nathan shivered. “Nicholas, that’s your sister! That level of jealousy is just not right, man.”
Nicholas shot him a cool glance, then shoved one hand in his pocket and started walking after them.
Nathan looked from Nicholas to the two departing figures and couldn’t help but say, “Nicholas, don’t you think the two of us look like a couple of creeps stalking young girls?”
Ever since finding out where Brian was, Nicholas had rushed over.
But he refused to show himself.
He just followed them like some kind of stalker.
His excuse was that Brianna had a heart condition, and a place like this was too dangerous, so he had to keep an eye on her.
But it was obvious who he was really watching…
Serena Lancaster. Miss Lancaster!
Nathan offered some advice. “Nicholas, since you like Miss Lancaster, why don’t you take a page out of Brianna’s book? Miss Lancaster clearly likes the sweet-girl type. You should try the loyal-puppy act. I guarantee you’ll have her hooked, line, and sinker!”
Nicholas Blackwood gave him a lazy, sidelong glance.
He said nothing.
Nathan immediately zipped his lips.
He was offering genuine advice.
