In front of the Wynns, Mr. Collins turned and bowed respectfully to Serena. “My apologies, Miss, for this disturbance.”
Then, his gaze turned icy as he looked at Hailey. “This is Miss Serena. Miss Lancaster is Le Céleste’s most honored guest. Her requests are our highest command.”
“And now, your family is the ‘trash’ that needs to be cleared out.”
Mr. Collins, usually a man of impeccable etiquette, spoke without a hint of courtesy.
He gestured with his finger. “Throw the Wynn family out. All their expenses will be refunded immediately. From this day forward, the Wynn family will be permanently blacklisted from Le Céleste. They are never to be served again!”
He didn't even bother with the pretense of being polite.
The Wynns’ faces turned ashen, their eyes wide with disbelief.
They stared at Serena, standing there coolly in her chef’s apron, completely unable to believe that she could be an honored guest at Le Céleste.
They had investigated her thoroughly.
Serena’s biological family was a bunch of nobodies from the slums—a paralyzed grandfather, a drunk, unemployed father, and three brothers too poor to even find wives.
It was the perfect picture of poverty!
But regardless of whether they believed it or not, the security guards were dragging them outside.
Under the watchful eyes of everyone present, they were thrown out of Le Céleste in utter disgrace.
Their hair was a mess, their clothes wrinkled.
They stared in disbelief as they saw Mr. Collins speaking respectfully to Serena, who then turned to speak with the elderly chef who had been standing beside her.
