CHAPTER 1
“Happy coronation to our twin Alphas!”
Scarlett O'Hara's lids flickered open as a spasm of pain jolted her head upright. Her eyes sparkled with shock as she tried to yank off her body from the wall, she pushed forward and staggered up on shaky legs, blood struggled to flow through them since they had been carved improperly while sleeping. Her head caught a pain as her teeth gritted, and the hot summer air blew in through the windows.
She skimmed her surrounding with a keen gaze, her heart raced in her chest as fear took its reign over her emotions. The room in which she was in was dark and weary had two windows, one was a bull's eye window located on the high ceilings and the other was a push open window on the wall, sunlight poured through the glass and washed its way in her direction. Standing atop shaky legs, Scarlett navigated through the heat which seemed to have enveloped her as she shuffled towards the window. Once she got there, her thin, long fingers curled against the metal handle as she cracked the handle of the window as it creaked open.
“Happy coronation to our twin Alphas!” the distant voices came again as the noise reeked into her ears. The wind blew as it charged in her direction with the inkling of an ice, fear seeped into her bones escorted by the chills which went up her spine.
At the call of the twin Alphas, she shivered like a winter leaf, her feet staggered back a little, fear rigged into her shaky legs as they crashed down momentarily. The twin Alphas, Bert and Asher, held the higher percentage of the full control over her life. They were her masters and she was the slave— she had always been the slave, the one slave who they punished anyhow they liked, the one slave who was hated in the entire pack. The thought now brought her back to the reason she was in here, she was locked in here by Alpha Bert, the senior twin, who had punished her just because she was caught chatting with Elijah, the chef’s only son who she had considered a pervert.
Her gaze— unstable, roamed off to the wooden door of her room, it was obviously locked. There were no chance of getting out now, on several occasions when she had offended Alpha Bert he would often lock her up for twelve hours, but now it seemed like he was furious. It had been a whole twenty-four hours, and he still had not come to open the door for her to resume work.
She waited patiently, praying for a miracle, one that would involve Alpha Bert coming and opening the door for her to be free from this dungeon she called her room. Today had marked her eighteen years birthday, it would go just like the other's did, silent and unmentioned.
No.
Today, an odd sensation gripped her, it wouldn't be like the previous ones. Today she would go meet, Alpha Fletcher, an Alpha of a neighboring pack who had frequently helped in saving her from the frequent punishment she was subjected to by the cruel Alphas. At the thought of him, a smile cracked on her dried lips, he had charmed her with his kindness, with the deep tug she hadn't previously experienced for any other man.
He was her messiah, the man who had offered an opportunity to flee from the pack three days ago. She had told him she was going to think about it, but now, the answer stared at her. Now, once she got out, she would pack all her belongings and move to his pack where she would start a new life entirely and get mated to him.
“This is an opportunity to get free from the Alphas captivity.” She remembered his words and nodded lightly.
“Freedom,” she pushed some air out of her lips as she felt pains in her throat, dried and patched.
No sooner had she spoken, as the door to her room made some metal clangs— clangs she knew too well to be made by the lock used to lock her in the room.
Maybe Alpha Bert’s anger has defrosted, she thought. The door flew open as she jerked out of her thoughts and gazed at the feminine figure which stepped into the room. Her head dropped as her fixated gaze rigged against the floor once she saw Mrs. Willoughby, the mother of the Alphas. She watched with a squinted gaze as she curtsies bending lowly as a sign of greetings.
“Greetings, ma'am.” she greeted with a rough voice. The blonde woman who was dressed in a purple trumpet gown turned to her and smirked coldly, her shoes highlighted her presence as it clip-clapped against the floor.
“Go out of here and go helping the other maids at the ceremony hall.” Mrs Willoughby said firmly with a cold smirk, her face was powdered in nothing but disgust. Her brows arched as she beckoned over to the door. “Yes ma'am.” Scarlett rose up to her feet and hurried out in the direction of the door.

She arrived in the hall not quite long and hurried in the direction of the maid's part, which was located at the extreme end of the hall.
It was great news to come just the night she would run away to Fletcher’s pack where she would continue her love life with him. She took a huge bag and began to pack in all her clothes into the thought bag. She was about to zip the bag when a smell hit her. Her heart raced frantically in her chests, blood seemed to stop flowing in her veins.
A click cut through her head as a headache ensued, she wanted to grip her head but this mate bond she was feeling seemed to have drowned all her attention. Her nose, a barrel of smells, differentiated the smell of alcohol from the one she was inhaling now, this smell, she’d deduced, was of an intoxicating fragrance one that enticed and drew her. The base of her neck tingled, she felt a pain coursing through her as a sensation coursed through her body.
Her nose stopped working for a second as her inner wolf whimpered in loss, and then, she inhaled in yet, that same scent, one that was obviously coming from the second floor.
“mate,” her wolf yelled.
Her eyes sparkled with shock as she caught a whiff of the scent which was obviously coming from the second floor. Her heart gripped with shock, the second floor was the territory of the twins and that meant that she was the mate to the cruel twin. Her heart skipped a beat, being the mate of twin Alphas would mean loosing her inner self. It just couldn’t have been a mistake, fear gripped her heart as the memories of being bullied by the two Alphas washed into her mind, she couldn't risk the chance and become they're mates.
No.
Her mind drifted back to Alpha Fletcher, tonight she would confess her undying love for him and she would flee to his pack.
“The Alphas could also have felt the mate bond I need to leave the pack immediately,“ She said to no one but herself, “Hurry now Scarlet.”
She took the bag and proceeded to fleeing through the windows.
