Married First, Loved Later : A Flash Marriage with My Ex's 'Uncle' novel Chapter 500

Chapter 500: What a Storyteller

Selina refused to attend the Morris Family’s reunion banquet, but the event went ahead as planned.

In the days that followed, all of City A was buzzing about it. The fanfare was loud and over-the-top—so much so that even the usually aloof housekeeper at Pear Blossom Estate had heard about it.

It made sense that Selina wouldn’t show up, but Kyle’s absence raised eyebrows.

Ever since Hannah married into the Morris Family, Kyle had been subtly pushed aside.

At the banquet, his name wasn’t even mentioned. Joe seemed to have completely forgotten his existence—like he’d been brainwashed by Hannah.

Now, for a "fraud," they were throwing a lavish public event.

Selina scrolled through the news and raised an eyebrow.

"The louder they make this, the more humiliating it gets. What is Joe even thinking?"

Logan sat down beside her.

"If they don’t make a big show of it, it’s even worse. He’s just choosing the lesser of two evils."

After all, Joe had gone on and on about how Selina was his daughter—even after she cut ties with the Morris Family. He played the role of a devoted father to the public.

And now?

It was a joke.

She wasn’t even the real Selina.

To avoid losing even more face, Joe spun a new story:

The imposter was also his daughter. Supposedly, Victoria had given birth to twins—Selina and Angela—and they were separated at birth. That’s why no one had realized the truth until now.

Sure, Angela had done some questionable things. But, according to Joe, it was only because she craved love and belonging. Now that she understood her mistakes, the Morris Family had decided to forgive her.

And besides—if Angela and Selina weren’t sisters, how could they look so alike?

Selina closed Twitter, her tone skeptical.

"Hard to believe someone that brainless could be in charge of the entire Morris Family."

While the Morris Family couldn’t compare to the Reid Family, it was still a top-tier name in City H. Selina had always heard the Morris patriarch was sharp and decisive.

She hadn’t expected this.

Logan chuckled softly.

"Who knows?"

Ding-ding...

Just then, Selina’s phone lit up. She glanced down and raised a brow.

"What is it?" Logan noticed the shift in her expression.

She waved her phone at him, showing the words "Class Reunion".

Then she said, with deliberate calm: "Our high school class president just invited me to a reunion. Should be... interesting."

Logan arched a brow.

"Oh? What’s interesting about it?"

Selina replied casually, "The class president will be there... and a few people who used to really dislike me."

"None of the people I actually got along with are on the list. So why was I specifically invited?"

Over the years, Selina had followed her grandfather across the country. She’d bounced between cities like City A and City N, transferring schools often.

She’d only attended City A’s No. 3 High School for her freshman year.

Back then, she barely spoke to the people now on the reunion guest list. After she transferred out, she never stayed in touch.

They were part of the class president’s clique—a group known for bullying and making trouble.

Now suddenly they wanted her at a reunion? Yeah, something was definitely up.

Before she could respond, another message popped up:

[It’s been so long! Come hang out—someone else is footing the bill. You don’t have to pay a thing! Aren’t you curious how I even found you?]

Selina’s eyes narrowed.

Then came another text:

[Obviously, a mutual friend gave me your info. Otherwise, how could I contact Mrs. Reid herself?]

Selina let out a cold chuckle.

[Send me the address.]
