Married First, Loved Later : A Flash Marriage with My Ex's 'Uncle' novel Chapter 436

Chapter 436: Unwelcome Guest

The kiss was hot, intense, and charged with repressed desire. Selina didn’t last long before she completely lost the battle.

...

She didn’t know how much time had passed before she finally shoved him away, gasping for breath and angrily wiping her lips.

What the hell!

She’d been mocking Logan. Couldn’t he tell? How did that turn into this?!

Logan’s voice was low and rough.

"SL is yours. Do whatever you want with it."

Selina let out two cold laughs.

"Mr. Reid, your childhood sweetheart sure has some nerve. No one’s ever dared claim that kind of connection with me before."

SL was a big deal. Plenty of people wanted to cozy up to them.

But with the owner’s identity a secret, no one dared publicly say, "SL’s boss really likes me and takes care of me."

But Riley? She really had the guts. Wasn’t she worried about getting slapped in the face?

Logan’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Riley wasn’t usually that reckless. Why was she so sure she could do it?

Who gave her the confidence to think... she could control SL’s owner?

Hunter? No. Hunter wasn’t that kind of person.

So that meant... Riley had misunderstood something.

...

"Selina, the design team downstairs just called. They’re asking if you’re ready to head out." An assistant knocked on the door.

"Oh, all set."

Selina’s project in the design department was down to its final step: just the last promotional shoot before full-scale rollout.

She’d booked the studio in advance. The team had prepped for a week. Now it was time to go.

Logan was flipping through the plan. "You booked the studio at the HM Hotel?"

"Yeah." Selina sounded casual. "I didn’t want anyone disturbing the shoot, so I just booked everything above the fifteenth floor."

The HM Hotel was one of the most luxurious in Country M—one of the few true seven-star hotels. Its owner was famously secretive.

The hotel’s "Sky Garden" spanned fifteen floors and was a favorite photoshoot spot for celebrities and socialites. It was nearly impossible to book—a new reservation wouldn’t even open up for another three years.

When Logan saw she’d locked down that entire space, he raised an eyebrow. "Is HM Hotel yours?"

Selina blinked. "Mr. Reid, you give me too much credit. It’s owned by the Foster Family."

Fresh from that scorching kiss, her eyes still shone wetly. Gone was the usual sly sparkle—instead there was a different, almost mesmerizing allure.

Logan clenched his fist and coughed lightly against it.

"Go on. Come back early."

...

Once Selina had left, Logan’s gaze darkened.

He picked up his phone and dialed Hunter.

...

Meanwhile, Riley was fuming.

Sure, she’d been given the title of PR Manager. But these people actually expected her to work?

She was the Nelson family’s precious heiress! She’d come to Reid Group to... well...

Now they were actually asking her to help pick the photoshoot location? If she had to do everything herself, what were all these employees for?!

Madam Nelson frowned. "Logan’s really too much. You were raised to be pampered. You should be enjoying life, not working like this. I’ll talk to him."

"No!" Riley knew she wasn’t that special to Logan. She couldn’t risk getting kicked out of Reid Group.

Madam Nelson looked worried. "But where will you even find a studio..."

"Riley, don’t worry!" Mr. Nelson strode in, beaming.

"I just found out—Reid Group booked the entire Sky Garden at the HM Hotel for today. Isn’t that the perfect place for a shoot?"

"The Sky Garden at HM Hotel?" Madam Nelson gasped. "An entire day? My God!"

The Sky Garden was famous worldwide. The Nelson family had once tried to book it, only to be coldly turned down. Madam Nelson had only been there once in her life.

She didn’t push. She knew better than to offend whoever that was.

But... if it wasn’t Logan, then who?

Was there another big family visiting City A lately?

Then, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted someone familiar.

Wasn’t that Riley?

And the staff were ushering her in so respectfully.

Wait... was today’s big reservation for Riley?

Or was someone else footing the bill... for her?

...

Meanwhile, Selina had booked the Sky Garden studio for 9:00 a.m.

She’d specifically reserved the whole area to avoid being disturbed.

But the manager who had promised to greet her at the entrance was nowhere to be seen. It was already 8:55. She decided to just go in and ask.

Except the moment she walked in, someone blocked her path. "Excuse me, miss. I’m very sorry, but the hotel has been booked out today. No unauthorized visitors allowed."

Selina: "?"

Right—she was the one who had booked it. No unauthorized visitors? Sure. But she wasn’t unauthorized.

She double-checked the schedule, frowning.

"I reserved the studio for 9 a.m. today."

The staff member just repeated himself. "I’m sorry. You can’t go in."

For the first time, Selina knew what it felt like to be locked out of her own booking. She sensed something was very wrong and narrowed her eyes.

"Bring your manager here."

The staffer had never seen anyone so stubborn. His tone turned scornful and condescending.

"Miss, do you not understand language? HM Hotel is booked by important guests. Those guests are already inside. If we let you in, you’ll disturb them. You think you can handle the fallout?"
