Love in the Limelight novel Chapter 585

Astrid asked, "Who?"

Chad replied, "Quincy."

Quincy?

Wasn't that guy sent off to the Antarctic to take care of penguins by Elio?

Her phone buzzed twice. She glanced down to see another message from Chad: "Boss, could it be that this place belongs to Elio? Otherwise, Quincy's appearance here doesn't make any sense!"

Astrid responded, "Are you serious? Obviously, Elio discovered this place before we did. Quincy is likely undercover."

Chad was shocked, "No way! Undercover? That's intense! Are you sure, Boss?"

Astrid replied, "I trust Elio."

Yes, she trusted Elio.

No reason, just trust.

Even though she often found him exasperating, in many instances, she trusted him implicitly.

This sense of trust appeared out of nowhere, yet it was not unwelcome.

Worried about Lucas Lampard, Astrid texted Dr. Conrad.

Before long, Dr. Conrad replied, "Don't worry, I'll be back soon. I won't let anything happen to that kid."

Astrid was somewhat surprised by Dr. Conrad's promptness.

From the start, she had suspected that Dr. Conrad had some connection with the Lampard family, though what that connection was remained a mystery she would have to unravel later.

After the second episode aired, the online criticism and disparagement of Astrid began to wane, as she gained a new wave of fans due to her undeniable talent.

The car was an eye-catching shade of green, prompting Astrid to take a second glance.

A man in his thirties, adorned with gold chains and exuding a nouveau riche vibe, stepped out of the car.

Selena couldn't help but whisper, "Wow, people still flaunt their wealth like that? I thought it was out of style."

Astrid said nothing, continuing to eat her lunch calmly.

Gracie joked, "Astrid, is that one of your crazy fans?"

Astrid's hand holding the fork trembled slightly as she glanced at the man holding a gift box, seemingly searching for someone.

After a while, the man's gaze settled on a spot before he approached with a smile. He took off his hat, placed it over his heart, and gave a slight bow, saying, "Ms. Linda, I've admired you for a long time. This is a little gift for you, and I hope you like it."

Linda, unimpressed by the man's yellow teeth and balding head, was not inclined to engage with him.
