Chapter 860 - A Sage's Sacrifice II

Crimson red swords shot forth like missiles towards the Sword Emperor, each of them screaming resonantly as they would not stop until they smashed into him!

Wherever he teleported, wherever he disappeared to...the crimson Cardinal Swords of Ruination would be there!

Three of them exploded out in succession as the sharp auras of the Daos of Withering and Sword were bearable, but the essence of Ruination was deadly.

It was a much higher tier essence that even while just being at the stage of comprehension, Noah could command this essence to burn through the defenses of the Sword Emperor’s fully assimilated sword essence!

At the same time, the roar of an emotional Tiamat rang out as an enormous door appeared in the skies, this door opening rapidly to show the illusory form of a terrifying dragon head!

Its jaws opened as from them, purple red flames erupted out that filled the skies. The other summons moved with vigor while enhanced by Ruination, Jormungandr opening its jaws wide as the illusory form of a Galaxy Devouring Serpent appeared behind him- its terrifying force temporarily holding the Sage in place.

The purple red flames in the skies were joined by scorching golden flames, the Golden Crow looking at the Sage domineeringly as it released its fury!

All the other pets moved with vigor as the Sage was besieged on all sides, the homing missiles that were the Cardinal Sword of Ruination continuing to smash towards him and dealing constant damage.

But in the midst of all this...the Sage laughed!

"Haha! Very good! With this, there is a chance!"

As he felt the terrific power of this being that now had the strength of a beginner Sage even though he had not yet become one, the Sword Emperor felt like his Master’s words were close to fruition.

He knew that this being grew ever stronger from devouring the strength of others, and he attributed the current rapid rise in Noah’s power to be due to the Sword Kings he had been fed in the prior floors of the Immemorial Sword Formation.

He actually wasn’t too far off as this was actually the truth!

But the Sword Emperor knew that for the strength of this being to be even more stupendous, he had to be the last sacrifice!

The Sage had a smile on his face as a brilliant blue light shone, his sword form evaporating as he turned back to his devilishly handsome 4 meter tall body the instant before an Absolute Skill was activated.

When he returned to his body, his serene eyes gazed towards Noah’s main body far off in the distance as they seemed to give him a singular message.

’I let you defeat me!’

It was the pride of a Sage that did not wish to fight to the death, where even while using his life and power to further his goals, he still let it be known that he was truly powerful!
