"Stay still, okay?"
Noah voiced out calmly while sitting comfortably on Lumivara, who nodded with intense concentration as she looked out into the distance.
She had been following his directions precisely as he guided them toward an entity that possessed at least double or triple her power and advancement in the Way of existence. And it seemed that he was about to attack it from this extreme range?
Was this exactly how he had taken out that cruel basilisk who had been torturing her?
Noah stood up on the lustrous fur of Lumivara and breathed in deeply, gathering his focus. This time, he did not form a bow as he had done previously.
Instead, he raised his hand backward in a stance designed for throwing, and in his palm, a radiant and blinding spear began to form from compressed authority.
His target this time was a fiery beetle that resided in the depths of a distant volcanic mountain. The creature was massive, easily the size of a city, with a carapace of black obsidian that glowed with veins of molten fire running across its surface.
Six legs ended in claws that could tear through mountains, and mandibles large enough to crush continents clicked together with anticipation of its next meal. Flames wreathed its entire body in a corona of heat that would vaporize weaker beings.
Noah had already observed it carefully and determined it possessed 88 Decillion Complexity and Purity, following the Way of Fire with dedicated focus.
As he prepared to throw the spear, Noah spoke with calm certainty that Lumivara could hear clearly.
"I have already superseded the Way of Fire," he said. "Fire is merely accelerated molecular motion powered by Mana at its foundation. Facing it again after understanding this fundamental truth is nothing significant."
WAA!
After he said this with absolute confidence, Noah threw the blinding spear with perfect form!
The projectile was masked to appear as a poisonous verdant work of art, maintaining his disguise. It crossed the immense distance in less than an instant, moving at speeds that defied conventional perception!
The spear struck the distant beetle before the creature could even register the attack, much less raise any defenses!
Lumivara watched with shocked expression as The Way of Fire surrounding that powerful entity, an entity three times grander than herself in raw power, was shockingly suppressed completely!
The beetle’s defenses collapsed as if they had never existed, and its body was torn apart by the impact! The fire that composed its essence was devoured by the superior claim of Mana asserting dominance!
Collapsed in a single instant!
Lumivara was utterly astonished at this display as her eyes trembled with shock mixed with a growing sense of fear. She felt the indomitable entity sitting calmly above her, who proceeded to wave his hand casually.
Noah opened his jaws unnaturally wide, and the distant body of the beetle was pulled forward through compressed space! It disappeared entirely into his mouth as he consumed it without ceremony!
And then calmly, as if nothing remarkable had occurred, Noah breathed out slowly and sat back down on Lumivara’s soft fur.
"Alright, let us keep going," he said with measured satisfaction.
Lumivara felt her existence integrate with the surrounding environment again as Noah applied Ambient Integration to both of them. She began to move as directed, but her head kept turning slightly as she replayed the complete decimation of that powerful beetle again and again in her mind.
After a few moments of traveling in awed silence, she worked up the courage to speak nervously.
"Um... how should I properly address Sir?" she asked with cute hesitation. "I do not wish to be disrespectful by using the wrong title."
Noah patted her fur gently and replied simply, "The Master is adequate."
Lumivara’s voice trembled slightly as she continued with rambling nervousness.
"Then I thank The Master profusely for not striking me down like you did that terrible basilisk and that powerful beetle!" she said with genuine gratitude mixed with lingering fear.
