Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse novel Chapter 4134

Chapter 4134 This, I Swear! III

And in the midst of all this…

"Don't announce my time of death just yet, Outsider."

…!

WAA!

A weak voice echoed out!

It was weak, but there.

The silence that fell upon the Shore was heavy, suffocating.

The air itself seemed to have stopped its flow, holding its breath in the face of what had just transpired.

Across the golden sands, every being stood frozen, a tableau of somberness and shock etched upon their faces!

All eyes were on the small figure of Khor, now a delicate, broken feather drifting down from the sky.

Noah, his own body aflame with a searing, unfamiliar pain, moved with a grace born of lividity.

He flew upward, his tyrannical will overcoming the agony that threatened to unmake him. He reached for her, his arms an anchor in the maelstrom of his own suffering.

As his hands closed around her, a faint sense of life, a weak spark of her immense being, returned to him.

He cradled her, his gaze sweeping over her riddled body, which seemed to be made of shattered starlight and obsidian shards. Her skin, once so vibrant, was now a pale, desolate canvas of countless wounds.

He looked into her eyes, and there, amidst the fracturing of her consciousness, he saw a weak smile.

"I won't be leaving just yet, Outsider," she whispered, her voice a brittle echo of its former power. "I told you existence was unfair, I just did not expect to be used as an example so soon to make this point."

Her words, though weak, carried the familiar weight of her ancient wisdom.

He held her close, ignoring the constant, burning agony that coursed through his existence- a pain that felt as if his very soul was being set aflame to satiate the monstrous curiosity of a being he had never even met.

He looked up at the sky, his eyes, filled with a primal, untamed fury, affirming that nothing else could possibly come down!

The tyranny in his gaze was a physical force, a silent promise of vengeance against a foe who had, with a single, idle act, reduced him to this state of burning agony.

In his arms, Khor's voice, though still weak, echoed out again. "That authority, that attack really, was a cognizant bundle of Authority that Gilgamesh left out countless years ago in the Earliest Folds…after your departure from the Verdant Eternia Tribe. It held no more true cognizance and was not even connected to him anymore as he won't even know that it finally found its target cycles of time later. You and your Early Veiled Shore… should be safe, Outsider."

…!

She continued to speak, her voice fading in and out like a dying ember. "I just got back, swallowing something filled with identity and purpose like that authority of Gilgamesh was akin to my existence taking in something it could not fully contain early. It was painful, but after my existence stabilizes, my Hunger will digest what I swallowed as I will be greater than I was before. Existence is unfair, yes, but all those points of hardships will also pave way for opportunity. This will be mine. For you… a bit of that authority still touched you as it should be limiting your existence tremendously, but even that… could be an opportunity. You just have to find out how to make that pain into opportunity."

He held her figure close, his eyes burning with a terrible resolve!

Around them, the others slowly began to stir, their shock giving way to a dawning comprehension of what had just occurred.

They gathered around Noah and Khor, a circle of silent, grieving protectors!

Khor, seeing their solemn faces, smiled faintly.

"Why are you gathering as if there is a funeral? Go on and go back to doing your things."

"…"

An immense silence remained.

The Shore, once so vibrant, seemed to have been muted, its light dimmed by a shared horror.

It was then that a figure, cloaked in a blinding white light, moved through the crowd.

Sigrid, her forehead still split, the Eye of Order pulsating with a brilliant, cold light, knelt down beside Khor.
