The proclamation hung in the air like a bell that had been struck in dimensions that shouldn’t exist.

The tentacles passed through her body as if she were made of light, or they were made of shadow, or both were made of something else entirely. But what they pulled from her was visible to all...a murky purple-crimson mass that writhed and twisted, fighting even as it was extracted.

She gave Everything of her Disorder, and the Inevitabilities consumed it with satisfaction that made reality itself sigh with relief.

The moment the last trace of Disorder left her being, Sigrid’s body erupted with blinding white light. Not harsh, not violent.
