Marcus said, "Granny, if you have something to say, you can just tell me."
Granny Rebecca asked, "How do you plan to deal with Clair?"
Marcus answered, "Granny, you seem to be taking quite an interest in this person."
Granny Rebecca said, "I once knew someone named Clair. Do you have a picture of this Clair? If you do, may I see it? I want to check if she's the one I knew."
"Wait a second." Marcus then shot a text to Leonardo Wilson: [Need a pic of Clair.]
It was past four in the morning. Leonardo was likely fast asleep and wouldn't see the WhatsApp message. Regardless, Marcus dialed him up without a second thought. However, a woman's voice answered the call.
The woman purred, "Who the hell is calling at this ungodly hour? Don't they know it's rude to call this late?"
Leonardo, who seemed to have just dozed off, was a bit groggy. Seeing the call came from Marcus, he snapped awake, "Marc, what's eating you calling me this late?"
Marcus said, "Send me a picture of Clair."
Leonardo exclaimed in surprise, "Holy cow! You called me this late just to ask for Clair's pic? Don't tell me you're falling for her?"
Marcus retorted, "You looking for a punch in the face?"
Leonardo, "Wow, are these words actually coming out of your mouth? Are you sure you're not an impersonator?"
"Please be a little restrained, you're not married yet." With that, Marcus hung up the call.
Leonardo wanted to explain that he was just playing cards with a bunch of people, and they were just chilling on the couch because they were tired. It wasn't what Marcus assumed.
But Marcus didn't give him a chance to say anything.
After getting the picture, Marcus took a look. He didn't have any recollection of Clair, nor could he verify that the woman in the photo was her.
