Impulsive Vow to an Enigmatic Husband novel Chapter 618

Cornelia said with a grin, "It ain't just 'cause he has me that he's lucky. He's such a stand-up guy, so any girl he marries would be a lucky one."

Hearing this, Ryan was once again taken aback by Cornelia.

The first time he met her, he had a divorce paper in hand, thinking she was cheating on his friend. His first impression of her was not good at all. Back then, all he saw was a pretty face, with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

But every time he saw her, she gave him a different impression.

She was really a kind-hearted, well-mannered, and capable girl.

Ryan said, "If you need anything, just tell me."

Cornelia replied, "Just having you around, supporting me, is enough."

Ryan said, "Suddenly, I'm kinda curious."

Cornelia asked, "Curious about what?"

Ryan said, "Between you and Marc, who has the decisive say in making decisions at home?"

They were both strong-willed and efficient people.

In the workplace, they had a superior-subordinate relationship, with Marcus being the superior. But at home, they were husband and wife. So, who called the shots?

Marcus was always the one giving orders, and Ryan could hardly imagine him taking orders from anyone else.

About fifteen minutes later, the police arrived.

Cameron led the police straight to Cornelia and said, "Officer, my stepmother lost a necklace worth 30 million dollars. There's a witness who said it was this woman who stole it. The witness also confirmed that the stolen necklace is in this woman's bag."

Cameron had left for a while, but his people had been watching Cornelia's bag to make sure she didn't pass the necklace to someone else.

Nonchalantly, Cornelia opened her bag and gracefully took out a sparkling necklace, asking, "Is this the necklace you're talking about?"

At first glance, this necklace looked identical to the one around her neck. But the feeling was completely different when held in hand. It was easy to tell the real deal from the fake one.

"There you go, I saw it with my own eyes. She stole it but didn't admit it. Now everyone has seen it, right?" The woman in black raised her head high, as if exposing Cornelia was some kind of heroic deed.
