Impulsive Vow to an Enigmatic Husband novel Chapter 602

Cornelia responded, "Yeah."

Marcus, looking down at her, asked, "Who are you looking for tonight?"

It seemed like he already knew the reason why she came to this gathering. Seeing as she couldn't hide it from him, Cornelia came clean, "Natalia."

Marcus asked, "You don't trust me?"

Cornelia replied, "Nah, it's not that. I need her for something else."

Marcus said, "Go find whoever you want. I got your back, don't worry about anyone else."

Cornelia responded, "Okay."

Leonardo curiously asked, "What are you two whispering about? Got some secret we can't know?"

Ryan knew some things, but he couldn't spill the beans. He quickly stopped Leonardo, "Easy Leo, some things are better left unknown."

Leonardo asked, "Why?"

Ryan intentionally patted Leonardo's shoulder heavily and said, "Leo, we've been together since we were kids. When did you get so nosy?"

Leonardo asked, "What are you implying?"

Ryan gave him a helpless look and then said to Marcus and Cornelia, "Let's go inside."

Leaving Leonardo alone in the breeze.

......

Granger looked away, "Do you really think Marcus would buy a $30 million necklace for his assistant?"

Cameron replied, "So we do nothing and let her be the laughing stock tonight for wearing a fake."

Granger said, "We can't just sit back and do nothing. Having someone wearing a fake necklace at our Reese family’s party, especially when it's identical to my wife's real one, that's an insult to me."

Cameron said, "So I quietly ask her to take it off?"

Granger said, "Do you think she'll listen to you? How sure are you that you can get her to take your advice?"

Cameron felt it was impossible. There was tension between him and Cornelia, and she didn't like him one bit. Moreover, Marcus always protected that woman, making things difficult for him.

Granger gave Cameron an annoyed look, "If we don't embarrass her tonight, it's the Reese family that will end up humiliated."
