I Only Want You novel Chapter 49

Sir Wu turned around and smiled. "You're here?" He glanced at Elizabeth Liang and Samuel Lee who were standing behind James Lu, then looked away again without a change in expression. "I didn't expect Mr. Lu to bring a companion. Now I feel out of place as a lonely old man."

Hearing this, Elizabeth said embarrassedly, "Nice to meet you, Sir. Wu. Actually... I'm just Mr. Lu's caddie."

"Oh?" Sir Wu raised his eyebrows, clearly intrigued.

James gave Elizabeth a subtle glare. "Sir Wu, would you mind swinging a few shots with me?"

"There's no need to hurry." Sir Wu smiled. "I have two more friends coming."

James frowned slightly. Was there... someone robbing his business?

"See," Sir Wu watched the approaching golf cart and said, "Here they are."

The golf cart stopped before two people got off of it. James and Elizabeth's expression both changed when they saw who the newcomers were.

They were Theodore Chao and Josephine Liang.

Theodore was also dressed casually in a navy blue leisure suit, and Josephine was wearing the exact same dress as Elizabeth, and she had even applied makeup carefully.

After they both greeted Sir Wu, Theodore looked at James's crew as if he had just saw them. "Mr. Lu, I am honored to meet you."

James was deeply unwilling to hold Theodore's outstretched hand, but he had to at least keep up a front when Sir Wu's watching, so he only held it for a second before quickly pulling away.

"You really are everywhere, Master Chao."

Theodore smiled and said, "Well I had to come to meet the famous Sir Wu."

James smiled brightly on the outside, but he was secretly seething inside: Trying to rob MY business? You're way too big for your boots.

Seeing Elizabeth was there, Josephine was already in a bad mood because of the same dress, but when she saw that Elizabeth was with James, she could feel her own blood boiling.

Any woman would be annoyed in a situation like this, especially someone like Josephine, one of the hottest and biggest celebrities at the moment in addition to being the heiress of Liang Enterprises. Moreover, it was way too careless of her to let Theodore have the opportunity to see Elizabeth again.

And also, who did Elizabeth think she was? How did she get on with a coveted bachelor like James?

Despite these thoughts, Josephine was after all a big film star, so she was able to control her expression with ease.

Josephine spoke with a smile on her face, "Long time no see, Elizabeth, how have you been?"

Elizabeth looked at her with a stiff face. She couldn't help but recall the night Josephine kicked her out of the Liang mansion along with her aunt. All she wanted to do was pounce on her and beat her up, how could she be able to answer her?

"I thought only Mr. Lu and Master Chao would know each other, I didn't expect you two to be acquainted as well." Sir Wu looked at the two women in the same dress and said.

"I..." Elizabeth wanted to say that they were strangers.

However, Josephine beat her to it, "We've only met a few times. I didn't expect to see her here at all."

Hearing this, James raised his eyebrows and looked at Josephine incredulously. Wasn't this woman a little too ridiculous?

Elizabeth laughed icily and said, "I didn't expect it either."

I didn't expect you to be this kind of person!

She used to be obsessed with practicing these rich people games in order to blend in with the socialite circles. She couldn't help but sneer at Elizabeth who was standing not far away—

Too bad you were a nerd who did nothing but study, Elizabeth. Today, I'm going to make you admit your defeat!

Josephine stood still and measured the distance between the ball and the hole again with her eyes. She swung the club and hit the ball with a beautiful big spin and a graceful posture. The ball flew up and formed an arc in the air, then fell right about 20 centimeters away from the destination. The ball continued rolling and fell straight into the hole.

Sir Wu smiled and nodded.

Theodore was delighted to see this. He gave Josephine a thumbs-up, but when he saw Elizabeth beside him, he stopped smiling and pretended to be focused on the play.

Josephine did extremely well with the remaining two shots, and all three balls holed. Sir Wu was applauding, "Not only is Miss Liang a beauty, but she is also a fantastic player. You are a very lucky man Master Chao. There are many temptations in this world, but I hope you will cherish what you have."

Josephine looked very proud of herself. "I am flattered, Sir Wu." As she said this, she walked over and took Theodore's arm.

Theodore looked at Elizabeth again, then finally said a little awkwardly, "Josephine really is a wonderful woman. Thank you for your advice, Sir Wu."

James looked at Theodore and Josephine across from him and wanted to bleach his own eyes.

What the hell was that?

Elizabeth simply ignored them. Her heart was broken long before this, so seeing and hearing all this didn't really hurt her anymore.

The only thing she was worried about now was the shots that she had to make next...

After wiping the sweat on her face, Josephine looked at Elizabeth and said, "Elizabeth, I'm done. It's your turn."
