"Number one," James Lu lightly tapped the armrest with one hand and said, "You're Mrs. Lu now, and you must always remember that, 'cause I have no interest in being cucked."
Elizabeth Liang nodded sullenly. "Got it."
Then he added, "Keep a distance from other men at all times, okay?"
"Mm."
"What kind of attitude is that, Elizabeth?"
"I answered you!" What kind of attitude? She had a great attitude!
"What do you mean by 'mm'? Are you unhappy about it? Do you think I'm restricting your freedom?"
"No." Elizabeth shook her head. When she saw the displeasure in his eyes, she immediately shook her head again with conviction. "No, really!"
"Hmph!" James was a bit more satisfied this time. He crossed his legs and said, "Very well, now onto the second point."
Elizabeth straightened her back and prepared to listen carefully.
"The second point is..." James leisurely lit a cigarette. "The second point..."
"Yeah, go ahead."
James suddenly snapped. "I'm thinking, why did you cut me off?!" "The second point..." He exasperatedly stubbed out the remaining half of the cigarette in the ashtray. "Thanks to your interruption I don't even know what the second f*cking point was anymore."
"..." Elizabeth was speechless.
He repeated "the second point" several times in a row, did he even have a second point to make? And now he's putting the blame on her just because he couldn't think of anything?
Elizabeth secretly protested on the inside — this aggressive little lion really was a pain in the ass to deal with, was he going to constantly lose his temper and be unreasonable like this forever?
"Forget it!" James decided to be generous, "I won't say it since you interrupted my train of thought. Just remember the first point. After all," He squinted at her. "Considering your intelligence I shouldn't be asking too much from you anyway."
Elizabeth felt a violent beast in her heart was about to break free and run amok!
She inhaled once, then twice, and tried her best to hold back her anger and put on an inquisitive and serious attitude. "I will remember your first point. I have a question though... if we go out together to get dinner or something in the future, and when we bump into an acquaintance, how do you want me to introduce you?"
Written all over James's handsome face was the sentence "You think I'd take you out for dinner or something?" But his reply was, "However you want!"
Hearing him generously give his permission, Elizabeth smiled happily and said. "Okay." James ignored her gratitude and raised his dashing eyebrows. He then took out a card from his wallet and handed it her way. "Here you go!"
"What?"
Elizabeth looked in confusion at the credit card that has suddenly appeared before her.
"It's a credit card, you idiot!" James gave her a condescending look.
"..." Of course, she knew that it was a credit card, but why did he give it to her?
"For me?"
Seeing that she wasn't too stupid, James nodded. "Use this card in the future for household expenses and stuff."
Elizabeth was completely stunned by the sudden situation. Why was he doing this?
Since Elizabeth wasn't taking it, James stuffed the card directly into her hand. "Same password as the door."
This guy... can be the most annoying person in the world when he's being difficult, but sometimes, he can be lovelier and more heartwarming than anybody else.
But... apart from housekeeping, Elizabeth still wasn't planning on using the card much.
"Very well." Satisfied, James gave her a brilliant smile. But in the next second, he reversed to his swaggering self. "Does Mrs. Lu have any plans for today, since we got married?"
Plans?
This again?!
"What plans?" Elizabeth really had no idea what he wanted.
Seeing her dumb and puzzled expression, James smirked and walked over to sit next to her. "I don't know, what's supposed to happen on wedding nights?"
Elizabeth's brain exploded as her face immediately turned red. Especially since he was so close to her, she felt like she was running out of breath.
The thought of sleeping with someone she didn't even love was so weird to hear!
But... they were indeed married. Did they really have to share a bed?
Elizabeth anxiously bit her tender lip and didn't know how to answer him.
"Haha!" James burst into laughter. "You literally can't take a joke! I'm kidding! Ha..."
After that, he got up and walked upstairs, leaving Elizabeth alone on the sofa and holding the card with a red face, embarrassed and breathless.
