I Only Want You novel Chapter 354

Finally, Elizabeth did not let Isaac send her.

Isaac looked at his watch, and he didn't insist. He found Benjamin to ask a driver to send Elizabeth there.

Before getting in the car, Elizabeth was afraid that James would be busy, so she sent him a message, saying that there was no need for him to send someone to send her to the temple, and she told him about Isaac's arrangement. James seemed to be really busy, and he only replied with one word "Okay."

When they arrived at the foot of the mountain, Elizabeth thanked the driver who sent her and then went up the mountain.

The temple in the north of the city was on the mountain, but the car could only drive to the foot of the mountain

because the twisting mountain road was not made of cement or stone, but ordinary mud.

She had come here once before, so she specially wore a pair of light sneakers. It made her not particularly tired to climb up the mountain.

The scenery along the way was quite good. There were trees everywhere,

and the sound of birds chirping and insects singing could be heard from time to time.

If she came alone, she might be frightened because of what happened when she came to worship her parents last time. But fortunately, the temple was very famous, so there were many people who came here to pray or redeem a vow to the Buddha. Along the way, she would see one or two people from time to time, so she was not very scared.

It was already past one o'clock in the afternoon when she finally got to the temple. Moreover, this temple was not on the top of the mountain, which saved her a lot of time.

She bought some food on the way here, but she was hot and tired at this moment. She found a tree to sit under and rest for a while and then got up to do what she wanted.

Of course, she knew that it was best to come here in the morning, but she needed to talk to Issac at Grand Dynasty Hotel this morning. Besides, the school would open soon, so she came here in the afternoon. She thought that as long as she was sincere, it didn't matter when she came here.

The temple was very big. She put her palms together devoutly and knelt in front of every Buddhist image for a long time without saying anything. She knew that Buddha would know what she was thinking about and praying.

When she finished all these and approached the door, she saw a small shop in the temple. She only paused for a moment and walked there. She wanted to buy a bracelet for James. Although it was not expensive, she thought that the meaning of goods here would be good.

"Excuse me, do you have something like a bracelet that can keep a person safe?" The shopkeeper was a middle-aged woman. "Yes." As she said this, she pointed at the bracelets in the closet and said kindly, "Look at these."

Elizabeth asked in surprise, "Do you mean all of them?" She thought there would be differences between those bracelets.

The woman could roughly guess what she was thinking. She smiled and said, "Our shop is not like that kind of shop in the market. There's no such a thing which can bring you wealth. But safety is the most important. As long as you're safe, you can have everything."

Elizabeth smiled and nodded. She felt that even the shopkeeper's words were so meaningful, "I see. I was just a little surprised just now. I want this purple and black bracelet, thank you."

After paying the money, she turned around with satisfaction and wanted to leave. But when she caught a glimpse of the red small bags embroidered with the word "wellbeing" in the glass cabinet, she stopped.

But when she got to the top of the mountain, she saw a totally different scene. Standing on the top of the mountain and looking ahead, she found that the scenery was spectacular.

The mountaintop was spacious, and there was a small two- storeyed house made of wood. Even though it was called a small house, it was because the mountain top was too big. The house was two hundred square meters in area. The door was wide open, and someone was chanting scriptures in a low voice and beating wooden fish inside.

Elizabeth soon found the tall blessing tree. The tree was in front of a wooden house and near the cliff. Lucky bags were hung on the tree branches, including the short ones, and there were coins that were thrown by people under the tree.

She held the lucky bag in her palm, put her palms together, and made a vow devoutly. Then, she hung the bag on the tree.

She stood there and felt much relaxed, because she had gone to find Isaac and done what she thought was right, and then came here to pray for blessings. She stared at the lucky bag swinging in the wind for a long time and then turned around. It was already past five o'clock. Although it was still early on a summer day, it seemed to be about seven o'clock, because there were many trees on the mountain.

She walked fast and wanted to go down the mountain before the sky got dark because there was no street light on the road on the mountain.

When she went back, she passed by the wooden house. She didn't mean to go in, but she stopped and even walked toward the wooden house. Because... when she passed by the wooden house, the sound of chanting scriptures and beating wooden fish stopped in an instant, and then she heard the sound of talking—

"Why did you come here?"

A voice that was somewhat familiar to Elizabeth sounded, "I... came to see you."
