"Well, it's so lucky to have a good husband! You could never be afraid of raining!" Looking at the sudden heavy rain outside the eaves, Evelyn couldn't help sighing.

Because of the rain, the busy street was suddenly empty. They didn't carry umbrellas in advance, and Elizabeth's husband said that he would come over, so they could only find a place to wait and take shelter from the rain.

Elizabeth glanced at Evelyn beside her and said, "Can you stop making joke on me ?"

"Isn't that the truth?" Evelyn snorted, "He came to pick you up when you didn't go back. Isn't it cheaper to take a taxi? As a president like your husband, the car he drives must even cost more in gas!"

Just now, James sent a message to ask her where she was. After knowing her address, he said it was going to rain, so he would come to pick her up.

"A lot of people are lining up to send you an umbrella." Elizabeth glanced at her.

"Don't!" Evelyn exclaimed, "I'd better forget about those blind dates. I have no feelings at all with those guys, okay?"

"What about the guy from our school? He's handsome and talented. Isn't he chasing you? If you want someone to send you an umbrella, call him. I promise that he will be in front of you as fast as you wish."

Evelyn shook her head in disgust, "Forget it. He's talented and handsome, but I just don't like him. What can I do? Besides, you know he's from a rich family. I don't dare to marry a man from that kind of family. I'll be bored by the rules."

"Well, I won't tease you anymore." Elizabeth smiled and said, "You can take our car later. I'll send you back."

"No!" Evelyn waved her hand repeatedly, "I don't want to keep watching you guys showing off your love again. I'll accompany you to wait for your husband and then go back by myself."

"What are you talking about? It's raining heavily and it's not easy to take a taxi."

After looking at him for a while, Evelyn couldn't help but touch Elizabeth with her elbow and whispered, "Hey! Your husband is so handsome!"

Elizabeth smiled and did not feel ashamed at all, "Well, a little bit." In fact, she really wanted to say that he was the most handsome person in the world.

James glanced at Evelyn lightly. The look in his eyes as if saying, "My wife has already said that, so why are you talking nonsense? If you say another word, I'll throw you into the rain right now!"

Evelyn was stunned and couldn't say anything. He was so gentle to Elizabeth. Why did he look at her like she owed him money? He surely was the president of a big company!

"That's it, Evelyn." Elizabeth said. And then she said to James, "Send her to the car first. I'll wait for you here." He only took an umbrella, which was not enough for three people.

James grabbed her wrist without thinking. "I'll see you first." It was not good for her to catch a cold at that time. As for others, he didn't care actually.

James did not answer. He glanced at Evelyn and said coldly, "Wait for me here for a while."

Evelyn nodded, "Okay!"

As soon as they got out of the eaves, Elizabeth really felt how heavy the rain was. The rain splashed to her calf, and her shoes were also wet.

James took her hand at first. But as soon as they entered the rain, he released her hand and held her into his arms. After all, the umbrella wasn't big enough. It could keep them from getting wet in the rain.
