I Only Want You novel Chapter 107

Samuel Lee took the suitcase out of the car and put it in front of James. "President, I'll go back first."

James snorted coldly.

He dragged the suitcase to the door of the house, not sure whether she was at home at this time.

Entering the code and opening the door, he heard the roar of the smoke engine in the kitchen. For a moment, although he was not very satisfied with her absence at the airport, he vaguely felt that he had a little joy in his heart when he came back to see her.

He changed his shoes and went straight into the living room. When he was about to sit down, Elizabeth came out with a dish of vegetables that had just been fried. She was stunned for a moment for seeing him, then said with explicit joy, "you back!"

She was still dressed in simple clothes, the pink cartoon apron she bought. Maybe it's because of cooking, at this time, she was blushing, staring at him with a pair of big and round eyes.

James held her gaze and nodded his head in a reserved and arrogant way.

She put the plate on the table and remembered what the taxi driver said just now. Give him a hug, he must be very happy... She bit her lips, rubbed her hands, and cheered herself in her heart. But as soon as she's ready to move, she took the step back.

"Uh... I don't think it's necessary. Maybe... maybe James would even laugh at me and regard me as crazy."

Elizabeth curled her lip and then just said with a soft smile, "Why don't you take a shower first? We can start eating soon." She went to the kitchen.

"We?"

There seemed to be a tinge of warmth between him and her when she said "we".

James frowned and lit a cigarette. Then he turned and went to the balcony.

After serving the dishes on the table, Elizabeth saw that there was no one in the living room. She was about to go upstairs to ask James to have dinner when she saw him walking in from the balcony.

Although she wondered why he didn't take a shower and change his clothes first, she didn't ask. She greeted him with a smile, "Hungry? You're hungry, aren't you? Let's eat."

He just felt stuffy again and he didn't know why. They had the meal quietly.

Elizabeth wanted to talk to him, but when she looked up and saw that he bowed his head eating, stern face. She gave up. She didn't know why they were close days ago, but now just became estranged.

While she was chewing on the rice, she couldn't help thinking, "Is it that we should keep the distance?" When he's preparing to pick up the food, James glanced up and caught her gazing at him. He snorted, "Just looking at me will make you full?"

Elizabeth felt embarrassed. Immediately, she flushed and stuttered, "I... I didn't look at you!"

James gave her a look of "Just lie to yourself" and said, "You didn't? Is there anyone else in this house. You peeked at me like 17 times?"

"Boom—" Elizabeth felt that her blood was surging up, and her whole body was about to heat up.

He was obviously eating and didn't even look at her. How could she be caught...

He even counted it seventeen times...

"..." Elizabeth was left speechless. She couldn't find the words to refute him. After all, she really surreptitiously looked at him. Though she didn't know whether it's 17 times exactly.

Elizabeth blushed and tried really hard to diffuse the embarrassment by eating attentively...

James stared at her for a while and then coughed softly, "Elizabeth, today you..." He wanted to ask her why she didn't pick him up today, but he felt that it was inappropriate. Then he changed the subject. "Are you very busy today?"

Elizabeth blinked at him, unaware of his hidden agenda. She shook her head and vaguely replied while chewing the rice, "I'm not busy. I'm off work at three o'clock." She had finished her work in advance in order to pick him up at the airport, though she did not pluck up the courage to go into the airport.

James Lu turned depressed. Samuel's analysis in the car made him even more gloomy.

"Clap!"

He threw the chopsticks on the table and glared at her angrily.

"Elizabeth, you suck!"

He was so angry that his breathing hitched. At least, they were friends. And as his friend, living under the same roof, could she care about him by meeting him at the airport?! This friend sucks!

Elizabeth was shocked by his yelling her name, and she's stunned by his scowl, with the meal in her mouth unswallowed yet. She didn't understand why he suddenly got angry.

"What did I do?"

"You..." The words came to his mouth, but he's holding back and just muttered in the end, "The food you made today is really terrible!" Then he kicked the chair behind him away.

"You..." Elizabeth tasted the food again and swallowed it. "It's okay..."

"Humph!" He snorted coldly and stood up domineeringly. He still glared at her fiercely, and his eyes seemed to be about to flame.

"You don't want to eat anymore?"

Elizabeth took the bag and came to his bedroom. After hesitating for a while, she gently knocked on the door.

When James Lu entered the room from the balcony, he heard someone knocking on the door. He frowned and only said after a few seconds, "What's wrong?"

Immediately, her soft voice came from the door, "Erm... James, can I come in?"

As if he thought something to vent his anger, he raised his eyebrows and said deliberately, "No!"

Hearing his direct refusal, Elizabeth bit her lips, but continued to say unwillingly, "Can... can you open the door? I..."

"Why do you want me to open the door?" He walked around slowly in the room, with a faint smile on his face because of her embarrassment, but he said, "Don't you know it's midnight now? Are you sure you want to enter my room?"

He deliberately pronounced the "night" and "room" very hard, and the underlying meaning of his words was obvious - what did a woman want to enter a man's room in the middle of the night?

Elizabeth, who was standing outside the door, heard what he said and stand there awkwardly.

James snorted smugly when he didn't hear any response. "See, you didn't pick me up!" He whispered to himself.

Liang frowned and thought for a moment. Then she turned around and walked to her room. After a while, she came over with a big A4 paper with something written there. This time, she didn't say anything and directly stuffed the paper in through the crack of the door.

James, who had been paying attention to the movement at the door, immediately noticed the paper stuffed in.

He didn't know what Elizabeth' up to, but he still walked over and bent down to pick up the paper.

When he saw the message on it, he raised his hand and opened the door immediately.

However, outside the door, there was no trace of her. There was only a dark blue paper bag placed alone at the door.

Looking in the direction of Elizabeth's room, he gritted his teeth and cursed something in a low voice. Then he kicked the bag very unhappily.

The paper bag was kicked down with a very slight sound, but he seemed to be shocked. He couldn't help looking at Elizabeth's room again and found that the door of her room was not opened, then relieved. He cursed something else and reluctantly picked up the paper bag. He turned around and slam the door close. Elizabeth, who's been straining her ears, was so startled that she quivered

After it died down, she was not sure whether he had accepted her gift, so Elizabeth eavesdropped the outside, and then she opened the door tiptoed. When she poked her head out and saw that the bag's gone, she smiled with relief.

To her delight, he accepted it!
