Charlotte walked out to the banquet hall. Just then, Caroline and two American women from the team came from the other end.

“You said she couldn’t understand…” The American woman looked awkward.

Caroline bit her lip, “Charlotte, can you say you didn’t rely on a man? Jaxson was in Portland, right? If Jaxson hadn’t made the connection before, could you have met Prof. Hawkins?”

What she said was exactly about the last Boston party.
