Ralph was startled but quickly recovered when he recalled her snuggling up to him like an innocent girl.
He disregarded it and said, “Okay, fine. I know you don’t mean anything by your actions and aren’t an easy girl. Look, we’re getting married soon. Shouldn’t we get acquainted with one another before? We’ll soon be husband and wife, and when that happens, we’d naturally have intimacy between husband and wife…”
While speaking, he got to his feet and moved toward her, opening his arms for a hug.
Just as he was about to touch her, she lifted her foot and stepped against his chest to block him from getting closer.
Heather crossed her arms and stared coldly at him. “Ralph, this is my last warning. If you come close to me again and try to do anything, I’ll kick you out!”
“What’s wrong with you, Heather? Weren’t we fine before? You used to like my kisses a lot. You…”
“Shut up!”
She balanced herself while bending her knees and kicked Ralph forcefully. Ralph flew backward and hit the table behind him. He groaned in pain because his back hurt so much.
When they were together before, everything was fine, so he had no idea what had changed in Heather to make her act strange to him now.
“I told you to shut up! Get out of my room now! Don’t come in unless I let you in!” With her back straight, Heather issued a firm command.
“I…” Ralph stood up and felt pain all over.
“... Okay, I got it!” Ralph cursed her inwardly and closed the door in resentment.
Heather was alone in the room. She looked around but did not find any cameras or recorders. This was beyond her expectations, as she was used to being on guard with people and dismantling all kinds of dangerous devices. Therefore, she was surprised that none of it was installed to monitor her at the Russell Estate.
The truth was that she simply did not know the situation with the Russell family. Everyone in the family, except Alexander, focused their attention on infighting and were not defensive against outsiders. They wholeheartedly wanted to connect with the Riggs family via marriage and put all their thought into the benefits of it.
Since they were unaware of Heather's true intentions, they made no efforts to spy on her or suspect her. The current situation saved her a lot of trouble, and she could stay there with peace of mind.
Heather stood on the balcony and looked down. Russell's house was huge, and it was not easy to look through every room. Moreover, there were secret passages, basements, secret compartments, and other hidden places. She could not blindly search around and needed to think of a better way.
