Kaia POV

“You know, we are going to need to have a Luna Ceremony after we get settled, trouble,” Isaiah said to me as we made our way to Ironclaw.

“You mean, as Thalia had?”

“Yup. You are my Luna, and everyone will have to respect you. If not, they won’t like the consequences.”

I snuggled up to Isaiah, “Are you going to go all Alpha on anyone who messes with me?”

His eyes darkened with desire. “No one touches what’s mine, trouble. Plus, you are carrying my pup, too. You both are my priority…always,” he said.

My heart melts at how protective he is of our pup and me. I bury my face into the crook of his neck and then exhale, feeling safe.

We get to the gates of Ironclaw, and the same guard from the dinner is there. Does he take breaks?

“Alpha Isaiah, Luna Kaia, welcome to Ironclaw. Alpha Max said you would be coming. Please, go through.”

“Thank you, Isaiah. I know that things didn’t work between my son and Kaia, but I am glad she is mated to you.”

Max looked at the omegas standing back. “Unload the trucks. This is your new alpha and Luna. Alpha Isaiah and Luna Kaia. Make sure you treat them with the respect fitting for their roles.”

“Alpha Isaiah, Luna Kaía, welcome,” they all said in unison.

I feel like I’m in some twisted episode of ‘Twilight Zone’. I smiled at everyone, and their faces remained stoic. Odd. At Blackstone, everyone at the pack house has easy smiles and is cheerful. Here, everyone feels methodical. Moving with precision, but heads are down.
