Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 84

Shannon gave Rachelle a solemn look and spoke in a voice devoid of any warmth, "A malicious spirit holding too much grudge and bent on causing harm can only be eradicated."

Upon hearing the word, Rachelle's body shuddered violently.

Daniella quickly hugged her to offer comfort.

"Rachelle, you and this child aren't meant to be. Moreover, it almost harmed you. I know it's cruel to say this, but to me, you are the most important."

As a mother herself, Daniella understood how Rachelle felt. Even so, a child she had never known couldn't compare to the one she had painstakingly raised.

Rachelle could feel Daniella trembling while holding her. She closed her eyes in response.

She didn't have any deep feelings for the child. The child had been a mistake from the beginning. Even without the incident at the classroom building, she most likely would have gone on and aborted it.

Perhaps that was why the child held such a deep grudge. It hated her but was also attached to her. That was why it tried so hard to keep her by its side. During the time she had been in a muddled state, she had indeed felt something small clinging tightly to her.

Rachelle couldn't describe the emotions coursing through her at that moment. In the end, she couldn't bear to see her child being wiped away from existence just like that.

"Ms. Jensen, is there no other way?" she asked, her eyes imploring.

Despite being around Shannon's age, there was no longer any trace of the innocence and vitality typical of a girl her age in her gaze.

Shannon pursed her lips.

As a talismanist, she wasn't skilled at dispelling grievances and grudges. The situation at hand was especially tough since the little one carried not only its own resentment but also those of other suicidal students and the malevolent energy from the skull.

Due to that, Shannon wasn't sure if she could dispel it.

After giving it a moment's thought, she turned and went out. She then took out her phone and made a call.

Daniella inquired about the payment. Although she had never dealt with something like this before, she knew that the services of such a skilled expert in the mystic arts wouldn't be cheap.

Shannon looked at the clearly malnourished Daniella and the cramped little room they were in. "I charge 300 dollars per session. Including the fees for dispelling the child's grudge, it's 380 dollars in total."

Daniella was a bit surprised at the price. Still, she sighed in relief and promptly took out her phone to make payment.

Shannon accepted the payment and left a protective talisman for Rachelle before leaving the run-down apartment building.

She went downstairs and found a secluded spot. Soon, a young man dressed in all black approached. Even the cap he wore was black. Behind his black mask, his eyes curved as if he was smiling.

"Hello, Supernatural Delivery. What would you like to deliver?"

Shannon took out a paper lantern tied with a red string from her backpack. The infant spirit seemed to sense that it had left the apartment. It struggled violently, trying to return to Rachelle's side.
