Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 279

"I heard the Fox Deity mentioning that actual mystic arts practitioners need to make a lot of preparations before drawing talismans.

"They need to pray beforehand and cleanse their bodies. The more complicated the talisman, the harder it is for them to draw. At times, it's normal for them to take up to three days just to draw a talisman," said Eddie.

Eddie paused momentarily before adding, "Those who are blessed with a spiritual connection can feel a force stopping them from applying the brush to paper. The stronger one's spiritual connection is, the easier it is for them to draw talismans."

As expected, the guests and the viewers were stunned. They found it difficult to believe Eddie's lecture.

"I thought all they have to do is draw a talisman. To think that there are so many steps before they can even start drawing!"

"Nowadays, the talismans are printed on paper right away. Why do they still have to draw the talismans themselves?"

"Will you place your faith in a printed talisman? The talismans that are drawn by hand are definitely more powerful!"

Although Juniper disliked Eddie, he didn't say anything after hearing Eddie's explanation. He just explained, "This time, the preparations are rather harried, so I'll have to skip some procedures."

"Sixth Sense" was all about the supernatural realm. Not to mention, Eddie needed to set up an altar in the previous episode, so the production crew had already prepared a ton of things. The staff members quickly set everything up according to Juniper's instructions.

Juniper placed his backpack aside. The moment he stood before the altar, his demeanor changed instantly. With a serious look on his face, he washed his hands and began praying in a certain direction. After that, he picked up a brush and began drawing the talisman.

He remained stoic and respectful the whole time. Even the guests and the crew members held their breaths subconsciously, not daring to make a sound to avoid disturbing Juniper.

Juniper spent the next 20 minutes drawing the talisman.

Although the production crew had set up their equipment under a cool and shady spot, everyone was still stuck outdoors on a summer day. No one expected that Juniper needed to spend such a long time drawing one talisman. Still, they didn't want to disturb him.

Hence, everyone spent 20 minutes waiting for him.

While Shannon got someone else to bury the bracelet, Madeline approached Juniper and thanked him. Then, she complimented the way he had drawn the talisman.

Finally, she asked, "I think the viewers are still curious about how you've drawn the talisman. Can you draw the same talisman again?"

Madeline used the production crew and the viewers as an excuse to get Juniper to agree to her request. After that, Juniper drew another repel talisman. This time, he only used 16 minutes.

Juniper was satisfied with himself. The shorter the time used, the higher his mastery in talisman drawing was. Surely, his mentor would be elated once he found out about it.

Then, Madeline asked if she could keep the repel talisman. She said she had tremendously good luck and that it was common for her to come across a lot of things when she was walking on the street. Having a talisman on her would make her feel more secure.

Juniper and the crew members didn't doubt her reasoning at all.
