As Genevieve looked at Kara Orberts, who was about to get lured into the apartment, she swore that she wouldn't give that bastard another chance at lying to others.
She looked up at the fluorescent lights in the apartment. Then, she raised her hand and gave it a gentle wave. An arc of ghastly energy struck the lamps immediately.
It exploded from above, causing Kara to scream in fright. She quickly retracted her foot.
"Ah! What's going on?"
"It's alright. Shhh. Maybe the lights are broken. Go to the living room and turn on the lights.
The man thought that blasting the lights out was a great idea. It would help create a nice atmosphere in the room.
He beckoned at Kara, who was still standing at the doorway. Having noticed that, she moved to walk into the apartments
But the moment she put her foot in, she saw the standing light in the living room exploding with a loud crackle.
Kara screams while retreating from the room.
No matter how much one didn't believe in the supernatural and the occult, the fact that two lights shattered during both times was super creepy. Kara ended up getting scared.
"Mason, I don't think I should enter your place. Just lend me a shirt so that I can cover the rip. I'm going to take the cab home later and wash the shirt before returning it to you. Is that alright?"
Kara's soft voice was tinged with fear.
The man named Mason Cobbler knew that he couldn't do anything no matter how reluctant he felt.
So, he replied right away, "Alright. You can't really change clothes in the dark anyway. I'll go grab a jacket."
Mason was nice and honest. It seemed that he planned on using this persona to win Kara's affection.
All he knew was that tonight's temperature was a little lower than usual. He got to save money by not turning on the air conditioner.
Genevieve remembered what Shannon told her. She didn't make any moves that could arouse suspicion. There, she waited till Mason was in bed before using her most famous method to enter Mason's dream.
It was still the method she was the most experienced with.
Mason woke up groggily in his dream, noting that a young woman was sleeping next to him.
He was super groggy at the moment. For some time, he thought the young woman was his date, Kara, so he reached out to grab her.
But he didn't get to touch anything, resulting in him jolting awake.
As Mason snapped out of his dream and fully woke up, he turned to find a young woman sleeping soundly on the other side of the bed. Thinking he might still be dreaming, he cautiously asked, "Babe?"
