Confused, Shannon accepted the photo and looked at it. She saw a young man in his mid-20s in the photo. He looked quite handsome, but based on his physiognomy, he seemed saddled with relationship problems.
Then, she flipped over the photo to look at the back. The man's name and birthday were written on it.
Shannon's confusion grew. She began making her own educated guesses cautiously.
"Do you have your sights set on this guy? You want me to become your matchmaker or something?"
Before Genevieve could answer Shannon, the latter immediately rejected her. "This man is still alive. Humans cannot marry ghosts. You should give up while you can."
When Genevieve heard Shannon's reply, she looked as though she was greatly insulted. She even stomped her feet on the spot angrily.
"Who the hell's marrying that guy? Men will only stop me from conquering the entire spiritual realm! I received this photo from another human!"
Genevieve continued, "It's a young woman. She snuck to the outskirts of the villa as though she was up to no good. Then, she began setting up an altar and praying to it. She began crying while telling me that she got scammed by a guy and asked for my help. After that, she left this photo behind."
Shannon felt silent. She didn't know what to feel at the moment.
Then again, it was her first time hearing of such things.
Soon, she was able to make an educated guess on the woman's reasoning.
"I think she must've watched the show," Genevieve said. "That young woman heard that I could scare people in their dreams, so she came looking for me in hopes that I could teach that bastard a lesson."
Genevieve looked a little happy. "I never expected that someone would specifically come to me just to help them out with this type of problem. Although I can easily do that, I remember you telling me that ghosts shouldn't lash out at humans randomly, especially those who don't have karma with me. That's why I came here to ask for your opinion."
That was why she sought Shannon out and asked for her opinion after spending some time thinking about the young woman.
Shannon could tell that Genevieve wanted to stick her nose into the young woman's business. At the same time, she was afraid of being hunted down by others.
Genevieve used the excuse of asking Shannon for her opinion just to find out if Shannon had ways to prevent the mystic art practitioners from finding out about her involvement.
Shannon was speechless, to say the least. Did she seem like someone who'd take the ghosts' side unconditionally?
As she mentally complained about Genevieve's behavior, she noticed the infant spirit slowly swimming toward her while kicking its legs. Then, it slowly landed on her shoulder. It stared at her before turning to look at Genevieve curiously.
Once again, Shannon didn't know what to say.
