Olivia rushed to the filming set at Silverpeak Studios overnight and jumped straight into work the next day.

Having taken a few days off, her shooting schedule was tight. The scenes waiting for her were all emotionally intense, and Polley had initially worried she wouldn't be able to get back into the zone so quickly.

But to her surprise, Olivia was more in form than she'd been before the break, especially for her scenes with the male lead. Though her role was meant to be that of a gentle, sweet damsel-in-distress, she carried such a commanding presence that the male actor was completely overshadowed.

It seemed taking time off had its perks.

"Cut!" Polley called out and shot Olivia a rare look of approval.

"Olivia, your emotional burst just now was spot-on. Ian, take a moment to get into it. We'll go again in a bit."

The male actor, Ian Chase, nodded in understanding, but he turned to Olivia with a half-defeated smile. "Ms. Bailes, you had such a strong presence. Could you perhaps go a little easier on me this time?"

Olivia didn't respond with her usual tact and charm. Instead, she gave him a sidelong glance and coolly said, "Don't talk to me right now. I've got a bone to pick with all men."

Ian was visibly taken aback before perking up with gossip. Ignoring the first half of her words, he curiously asked, "Wait, someone pissed off Ms. Bailes? Who was it?"

"None of your business. Focus on your scene."

With that, Olivia turned away and returned to her chair without a word.

Her manager, Cory Cadwallader, knew what she'd been up to last night. It was the first time he'd ever seen Olivia cry so terribly.

He'd initially tried to convince Olivia to take a couple of days off before resuming work, but Olivia wouldn't listen to a word he said. Instead, she rushed back to the filming set as if she'd dedicated every last shred of herself to the production crew.

Deep down, Cory was conflicted. He was proud of Olivia's drive but also deeply concerned.
