"Can you give this to me, Mr. Turner? Or could I maybe buy it from you?" Sheila's tone was polite and humble. It was partly because of Vincent's status and because she genuinely wanted the life-saving satchel.
Others probably didn't know this, but when the life-saving satchel had hit her earlier, she'd clearly heard a pained yelp beside her. Even the hand around her neck had immediately released her like it had been burned.
Sheila was sure whatever was in the satchel was comparable to the emerald pendant. The best part was that she didn't need to beg Shannon for it.
Vincent frowned almost imperceptibly at Sheila's request. Still, he remained as polite and gentlemanly as ever. "I'm glad it helped you, but this is a tool that the production crew gave me. I have to check with them whether I can give it to you."
He added, "Maybe you can go straight to the production crew and ask them whether there are any extras."
Sheila's eyes lit up at that. She understood what he meant and decided not to insist on taking his satchel. She returned it to him and turned to seek out the production crew.
Vincent looked at the satchel, which was a little wrinkled from how tightly Sheila had clutched it. He didn't reveal any of his disdain as he smoothened it and made to tuck it away.
Just then, Juniper approached him. "You should open it up and check it first."
His words had come out of nowhere, but the cast all leaned close curiously. They knew what was inside the satchel. Vincent guessed that Juniper was reminding him of something, so he went along with the latter's words and opened the satchel before the camera.
Yesterday, the cameras weren't rolling when the cast had opened the satchel, so today's scene would make up for it.
The viewers watched as Vincent opened the so-called life-saving satchel to reveal a talisman inside—a third of it had already burned.
So, he gave Percy a look. The latter quickly explained, "We only have one each of the life-saving satchels, my friends. Once you use it, that's it."
Olivia couldn't help asking, "Won't we be getting any new ones for future episodes?"
He smiled. "The life-saving satchel is a tool that can only be used once over the course of the six episodes we're going to film; it won't be distributed per episode. So, everyone needs to be careful when using their tools."
At his words, the cast's expression shifted. Upon finding out that there was a talisman in the life-saving satchel, they hadn't thought much of it despite hearing from Juniper that the talismanist who'd produced the talisman was a powerful one.
They figured they could just get a new one after using the one they currently had. Who would've known that the crew would only give them one satchel to last them throughout all the episodes they had to film?
