"This is hilarious. I didn't expect you to be so nimble, Eddie!"
"Just passing by, and this is my first time seeing someone possessed by a deity. It's quite shocking, to be honest."
"I feel like he's really capable of these things, and he kept such a low profile earlier. I'm gonna subscribe to him!"
"I feel like Eddie's more of a mystic arts master than Juniper and Shannon!"
"At least Juniper is an actual monk from a monastery. Shannon hasn't even stepped foot in the world of mystic arts yet! How can you compare them?"
"I think Shannon's quite pretentious, too."
"Is there any need to insult someone to make others look good? Shannon wasn't too bad before this, was she?"
"God, you guys make me laugh. I can't believe you're all looking down on someone that a school of mystic arts selected for their program."
"Yes, yes, you're absolutely right. Shannon must already know a thing or two about the mystic arts—that's why she knew the old lady and the kid in the photo were related. That's how she discovered the truth about the wealth-generating stake ritual!"
"That comment was the most sarcastic one I've seen in a while."
"Stop making others look good by insulting others, guys. Meanwhile, I'm silently rooting for Vinny."
"Don't forget about my precious Livy!"
Shannon could guess how Eddie had become a blogger with such a wide following—he was an amazing performer and knew just the right words to use.
Just as Shannon had guessed, that was exactly how Eddie had gotten to where he was now. There weren't that many mystical existences in the world—most of the time, people's hearts and minds were the ones playing tricks on them.
Eddie consoled his fans on a daily basis. Acting like he'd been possessed by the deity and chanting incantations was something he was used to doing.
That was why he hadn't panicked when encountering situations where people needed help solving their problems. He would first invite the deity to possess him before coming up with an excuse to turn the person down. The excuse would even be catered to the person's situation.
Either they were too ugly, too mean, unfaithful bastards, or ungrateful to their parents. It only took a single sentence for "the Fox Deity" to refuse to help someone. It all depended on the deity's mood, didn't it?
