Meanwhile, after successfully getting into the Jensens' car, Bradley looked at Shannon, who was sitting next to him. The passion and affection in his eyes were so intense that they seemed close to materializing.
Shannon continued scrolling on her phone. Without even looking up, she said coldly, "If you keep staring at me with such disgusting looks, be prepared to bid your eyes goodbye."
Bradley was speechless.
He thought that she allowed him to get into the car because she was finally appeased.
But in the end, her attitude didn't change at all.
Could it be that she truly never liked him?
At the thought of that possibility, Bradley hastily denied it in his heart.
That was impossible.
If she never liked him, why would she follow him around back then, and why would she allow him to get into the car now?
Bradley still felt that she was pissed because of his engagement with Rachel.
At that thought, he spoke in a gentle tone once again.
"Shannon…"
Noticing the tone in Bradley's voice, Shannon finally couldn't help but turn around.
"You want to know why I followed you around back then, right? I'll show you the truth right now."
She seriously wasn't in the mood to keep talking to this idiotic jerk.
Bradley heard Shannon saying that she would show him the truth, but he didn't believe it at all.
When a woman kept following a man everywhere, what other truth could there be aside from affection?
Bradley simply assumed that Shannon still didn't want to be honest with herself.
Shannon could see that Bradley didn't believe her but would still play along with her. She couldn't be bothered to explain, so she just remained silent as the driver kept driving.
As the car approached their destination, Bradley's expression turned a little weird.
Just as Shannon placed her hand on the doorknob, Bradley finally couldn't help but speak up.
"Shannon, you shouldn't enter this room."
Shannon's hand was still on the doorknob as she turned around and questioned him, "Why? Is it because this room belonged to your late grandmother?"
Bradley's eyes suddenly widened. Before he could think about why she knew that, Shannon had already opened the door without hesitation.
A musty smell wafted out of the room.
The room was deserted and left unattended for a long time, so even if the door and windows were tightly shut, a layer of dust had already settled upon everything in the room.
Bradley instantly had a slightly foul look on his face.
His grandmother had passed away for more than two years, and his family members rarely brought her up now. Even Bradley hadn't paid attention to this room in a long while.
Still, his grandmother had always been an extremely important person in the family to him.
