Heartstrings on Fire novel Chapter 592

Jared piped up, "Yeah, I bumped into him once in Manhattan, the kid's got some hibernation syndrome thing."

Brayden seemed intrigued, "Manhattan? Why’s he here then? And what’s this hibernation syndrome?"

Jared shrugged, "No idea, mate. I was trying to find his parents."

Jared had already picked up the kid, turning to Brayden, he asked, "Where is Kerri working, which hospital?"

Brayden was a bit stumped, "Prestige Medical Center."

Jared responded, "I’ll drop the kid off there on my way to look for his parents."

Brayden replied, "I’ll come with you."

Jared said, "You've had one too many today, better not. You two might kick up a fuss in the hospital…"

Brayden indeed had a few too many, feeling a bit woozy.

Settling into the couch, he responded, "If you see Kerri, tell her I’m getting custody of my son. Tell her to find a good lawyer and wait for me."

Without a word, Jared left with the boy.

Brayden remained on the couch, disappointment welling up inside him.

Kerri had been hiding their son everywhere.

In reality, it had been a while since he saw his son.

Had he not gotten a notice of Kerri planning to move again, he wouldn’t have taken the action of taking the kid away.

He just wished she would stop hiding.

Even if Kerri was not by his side, even she was somewhere far, as long as he knew where.

Brayden was drowning his sorrows with glass after glass of wine.

The door to the room opened again after a while.

Brayden thought Jared had returned.

But to his surprise, it was Kerri at the door.

But what Kerri didn't expect was that there was no one else but Brayden in the room.

Kerri was frantic, her worry evident, "Brayden, how could you do something so despicable, hand over the kid now! He’s my patient, not your son! His family is going crazy looking for him."

Brayden was lost, staring at the woman in front of him.

In all these years, every time Kerri saw him, she avoided him like a dangerous animal.

Kerri had never said so much to him in one moment.

Especially when she was angry, she had a certain liveliness about her.

Finally, Brayden said, "You want to find that boy? Fine, trade him for our son."

Kerri almost thought she heard wrong.

How could he be so shameless?

"Brayden, he's my son, you have nothing to do with him."
